We already presented the new Levi’s jeans from the Junya Watanabe MAN Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. Here is now a further look at the latest pieces of the collection.

Of course we are as usual excited about the line. Junya Watanabe continues to play with patchwork patterns, different fabrics and graphics and presents an interesting heritage inspired look. As much as we do like the shirting this season, we believe the outerwear, at least what releases until now, could have been a little more exciting and seems very similar to what we have seen in previous seasons. Let’s hope that will change though out the season.

A couple of jackets from Deluxe’s Spring/Summer 2012 “Rum & Sugar” collection, which we have previewed extensively here. Two jackets have dropped including the Sun Shower hooded parka and the Bench Rider jacket. Each one comes in three great colors. There’s the safe route with black in each style, but also some great colors such as some really nice blues, green, and yellow. We’re really feeling both jackets in the blue colors. Every season French brand A.P.C. tends to have that one camouflage piece in their collection and usually that is the one that is hardest to get a hold of. Same is true for Spring/Summer 2012. They have just released their new Camo Parka, coming in a classic green camo colorway all over the upper. Made in heavyweight cotton it features four front pockets, two flap pockets at the hip and two slanted chest pockets. Nitty Gritty has it in stock now for 330 Euros.

The first product of the new Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons MAN Collection for Spring/Summer 2012 has arrived in stores. Union in Los Angeles received some great shirts, Levi’s denim, caps and hats, cardigans and also some quality outerwear. All pieces have that obvious Junya signature style.

For Spring/Summer 2012, SOPHNET has collaborated with Barbour on their classic Bedale Jacket. The iconic waxed cotton jacket comes in a navy colorway with contrasting collar and an interesting lining. The jacket releases on January 28th, 2012, along with the first SOPHNET Spring/Summer 2012 pieces.

Fresh for Spring 2012, nanamica drops their GORE-TEX Cruiser Jacket in this vivid yellow. nanamica notes the “electrifying vividness” of the color, which we won’t argue. The jacket has a deck feel with its fasteners and overall look, and given its high quality construction, we are sure it will keep you dry whether at sea, or during a flash spring rain. CASH CA and retailer Heather Grey Wall have gotten together to produce a limited edition series of the Donkey Stadium Jacket, which has already been featured in the CASH CA Fall/Winter 2011 Collection.

As part of the collaboration, the jacket comes in two colorways, featuring in both cases wool bodies and leather sleeves. The jackets can be purchased now from HGW in store and online.

We have to admit that as strong as Nike’s Sportswear line was when the Destroyer and M-65 jackets first released, it feels a little bit like they are running out of ideas. Aside from remixes of those two styles, not many new silhouettes are added to the apparel collection.

Here we also present again the Destroyer, yet instead of playing with the colors, adding patches and embroideries or doing an “exciting” collaboration, they just made it much more premium and we like it. The True Colors Leather Destroyer comes with a full leather body and sleeves. Simple, premium and timeless has its price. This version of the jacket retails for 1′000 USD.

While walking Pitti this last week, we got word of an interesting young Italian premium sportswear brand going by the name 12thMan. Rather than following seasons and trends, the brand concentrates on releasing timeless outerwear all year around.

12thMan collaborates with historical suppliers of leading brands in Italian sportswear, whose focus is set on continuous research and testing, setting the standards for the market. All their garments are made in limited edition and individually numbered, and tightly distributed to premium retailers around the globe.

Every aspect of the product creation, including fabric creation, modeling, fabric treatments are taken into account by the designers. The outcome is a beautiful, at first seemingly simple, men’s sportswear line, with garments that are ready for the test of time.

After presenting the Carhartt Spring/Summer 2012 Lookbook earlier, we now take a look at the Carhartt Heritage line for the new season. Here we present our two favorite piece from the collection, including the State Coat and the Settler Jacket, both coming in beautiful classic camouflage patterns this season. They come with special Heritage tags and a slightly washed out effect, perfeclty working on the duck canvas used by the brand.
