The Penfield booth was busy as usual at Capsule show this morning. A few pieces which caught our attention revolved around the new DPM Penfield Dazzle Camo collection, which includes outerwear jackets, vests, and some matching sleeping bags which attach nicely for a true in the field look.
Dazzle Camo was used throughout WWI on Allied warships. Meant not deter the ability of the enemy from determining ship’s speeds and heading, Dazzle (or Razzle Dazzle as it is also known) Camo was a true disruptive pattern.
The Penfield DPM Dazzle line was developed in collaboration with Hardy Blechman. Look for it in Fall 08.

Here you see the latest set of windrunners that Nike released under the “Storm” theme. They come in black and purple and feature a tree pattern running over the lower part and a rain pattern over the higher part of the windrunner. For the rainy days ahead, these are just perfect. Now available at Sneakers ‘N Stuff.

Step by step Recon is releasing their Holiday collection. Once again a few pieces have surfaced, this time several hoodies, jackets, as well as boxer shorts. Digital Gravel has the new collection in stock now.

Gourmet was certainly one of the most interesting brands to launch in 2007. Both their sneakers and clothing have impressed so far and from a preview that we give you here, it seems like 2008 is no different. They teamed up with Canadian premium retailers Richard Kidd and outerwear brand Arc’terx on a small collection of technical outerwear. It will debut in 2008, we will of course keep you posted!

Recon has released some interesting new pieces as part of their Holiday 2007 collection. The drop includes the MR-3 jacket as well as a Leather Zip Hood jacket. Both are now available at the Recon online store and Recon retailers.

Not too long ago we showed you the Kidrobot x Burton snowboard that the two brands worked on. Now the collection has been released, and it consists of not only the snowboard, but also two jackets and two pants. One outfit comes in purple with large tonal Dunny heads on it and the other one is a crazy collage of many toys. Basically the design of each side of the snowboard is also available as an outfit.

We have presented to you already the general release of the Dr. Romanelli Surgical Strike collection. The military inspired collection has been first shown at Maharishi in London. The brand has always had a tight relationship with Japanese brand Sophnet. Thus they made some special edition jackets, with lots of special embroideries and patches, that will be exclusively available at Sophnet stores in Japan. Via Honeyee.

Recon has released two new jackets as part of their Fall/Winter 2007 collection – the Raglan Windbreaker and the Flight Suit Jacket. Both jackets come in several colorways. The windbreaker comes with hood and a logo application on the front chest, otherwise it’s a classic windbreaker. The Flight Suit jacket is definitely more interesting, featuring lots of pockets in the front. Both jackets are now available at Essence.

Just recently we presented to you the Dr. Romanelli Surgical Strike collection. Now they made some special edition pieces under the same theme for the Sophnet stores in Japan. The range consists of mostly leathe jackets with nice fur lining, getting you ready for colder weeks ahead. The jackets are available since this weekend.

Silas has been a brand pretty hard to come by in the last couple of years. Now Hanon has received a good amount of their Fall/Winter collection. The brand presents a nice range of goods, in general classics with a modern twist, always with attention to detail and quality in mind.
