In what has become an annual tradition, Nike draws inspiration from the Chinese zodiac for the 11th year in a row. The impeccable attention for detail portrayed in this collection is the best yet. Four models – Air Force 1 Low Supreme, Air Jordan 2012, Nike Kobe VII System and Nike Zoom KD IV, were reworked to capture their association with the mythical creature. The collection of shoes represent the pinnacle of performance footwear, celebrating the past and present, with elite franchise styles. Nike designers aligned Chinese culture to cosmopolitan aesthetics and added a touch of novelty to the nobility and greatness of the dragon. The number of four echoes a Chinese idiom that dragons rise out of FOUR seas, conveying best wishes for the Chinese new year.

In addition to the four footwear styles, the Nike Destroyer Jacket will hit the street at the same time. Also inspired by dragon robe, it features woolen texture with black suede sleeves. The dragon theme is illustrated through the lining, plus dragon claws embroidered both in the lining and the back, set alive by the cloud-and-bat design. The Destroyer Jacket will be available alone or along with the Nike Air Force 1 Low Supreme, both in the limited edition packaging.

Every season A.P.C. tends to have at least one camouflage piece in the collection and it is usually one of the most popular items. For Spring/Summer 2012 they present the khaki camouflage military parka. Made from a heavy-duty woodland camouflage cotton twill outer, the parka features two front handwarmer pockets, two large patch pockets, and tonal button fastening. End has it in stock now.

One of the most interesting items to come from the first line-up of Bape Spring 2012 goods is their collaboration with Schott NYC on the 1st Camo Pea Coat. The jacket will come in two colorways, featuring the iconic Bape pattern all over. A classic piece re-imagined.

We recently previewed the October’s Very Own x Canada Goose Leather Down Jacket. This is the second collaboration between Drake and the outerwear brand. Featuring a white fur hood and a lining printed with gold OVO owls, the outer shell is covered in thick leather. But there are many more details on the jacket.

The jacket features a supple Buffalo leather exterior sourced from top leather manufacturers the Himel Brothers, removable Arctic fox fur, white duck down fill, 100% silk lining printed with the O.V.O Owl logo & 24 gold plated hardware. The OVO & Canada Goose team have spared no expense this time around.”

After the lookbook, we today take a closer look at the Bape Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. Collaborations in the new season include caps with Starter, bags with Porter, peacoats with Schott, as well as a full range of clothing, sneakers, and accessories.

Once again the entire Japanese fashion scene seems to have decided that Fall/Winter 2011 was the Harris Tweed season. We will never understand how this works, but everybody collaborated this season with the traditional fabric maker, including WTAPS.

Releasing this week is the Lumber Jacket, featuring a colorful check wool upper. Furthermore the Bullitt Jacket will release, along with matching gloves and hat. Each item features a Harris Tweed logo tag and nice detailing, just like we are used to see from WTAPS. Even though there seem to have been many Harris Tweed items this last season, these are certainly among our favorite.

visvim has a bunch of interesting new product releases coming out for the New Year, which we can already present you today. First of all their beautiful Elmendorf leather jacket returns made from Horween leather this time. The classic A-2 flight jacket comes in a beautiful brown/burgundy tone and features a Windstopper lining. These come in such limited quantities, that designer Hiroki Nakamura signs each on of them on a special label.

In an interesting new collaboration, Neighborhood gets together with store Heather Grey Wall. Presented are two versions of the Thunderbolt Jacket, one featuring a technical Diaplex shell and the other one heat resistant Dynamo material shell. The black and beige jackets, designed by Neighborhood for Kazuki Kuraishi’s store, will release early 2012 at both the Neighborhood stores in Tokyo and of course at Heather Grey Wall.

Neighborhood has teamed up with Portland, Oregon, brand Dehen. Founded in 1920, Dehen is known for its excellent varsity and leather jackets, as well as its knitwear. Staying true to the brand’s heritage, Neighborhood chose to work on a varsity jacket and a cardigan with Dehen.

Both pieces of the collaboration have a distinct university sports inspired look, featuring numerous patches and embroideries on the upper. The jacket and cardigan will release in Japan on January 2nd, 2012. (Via honeyee)

Stussy and NEXUSVII worked on a very solid and timeless technical jacket this season. The NEX-WCS Level 6 jacket comes with a 3-layer Gore-Tex outer shell, providing waterproof, windproof and breathable features to the jacket. The jacket comes in navy and black and will release at select retailers early 2012. (Via honeyee)
