“Spring 2009 sees Real Real Genuine continuing to develop core strengths. This, of course, is in denim. A new cut has been introduced finding medium ground between RRG’s classic loose and straight leg. The mid-cut comes in raw and aged finish. Complementing the denim are two new trouser offerings, a selvedge twill (the Cornell) and the Kirtlington, a slim fit wool pant – work pants for the outdoors and the office. Back to the denim, new shirting selections include a selvedge denim western shirt, as well as a very sharp polo (Jasper). A few more of RRG’s excellent tees have also been added. Sweden’s Denim Demon takes two avenues of inspiration to arrive at a single point for their Spring/Summer 2009 collection. A passion for authentic workwear and denim is fused with an interest in native “Sami” culture. Key product from the collection includes a denim Kolt, which essentially mixes classic workwear materials with a traditional “Sami” garment. On the denim side, Denim Demon has produced the Ren-on-hide, a 15.5 oz unsanforized denim complete with reindeer hide patch. The jeans are based on a 1930s Lee cut with green, white and blue narrow selvedge. The colors (green, white and blue) follow “Sami” culture and are a constant in the collection. The Kolt and Ren-on-hide denim is complemented by a denim shirt and jacket and a new flannel shirt. Oi Polloi will be among the fine retailers to stock the collection.

Art collectors and denim connoisseurs have a new object of desire; a handful of ultra-rare Levi’s® 1947 501® jeans turned into unique works of art by celebrated contemporary artist Damien Hirst.

Hirst, whose works recently fetched an amazing £111 million in just two days, breaking all auction records previously held by Picasso, has turned seven pairs of iconic 1947 501® jeans into canvases to create unique signature Spin Paintings.

Just one of these striking pieces will be exhibited and sold in the UK to mark the arrival of the Damien Hirst X Levi’s® collection. With a reserve price of £15,000, it will be unveiled at Cinch, Newburgh St, from Wednesday 16th October, where it will sold through a silent auction. Full details will be available in store.

The Levi’s® X Damien Hirst collection revolves around three key themes of Damien Hirst’s body of work – the skull, spots and tropical butterfly. Levi’s® 501® jeans in black and over-dye blue are teamed with white, black and deep purple rock-inspired T-shirts emblazoned with iconic Hirst imagery – tropical butterflies, dots and skulls.

Lots of new Levi’s Fenom releases are coming out this weekend. After the Red Pack, the much anticipated Levi’s Fenom x Mastermind Japan denim has also been released. It comes with the Mastermind logo on the back pocket, replacing the Fragment Design logo, rhinestone decoration on the back, as well as on the side zip pocket. Via Jungle23.

The latest denim from Levi’s Fenom has been released – the Red Package Denim. The denim has been given a rock used wash and otherwise details all come in red. All rivets, buttons, zip pocket, leather tag as well as the Fragment Design logo on the back pocket come in red. Via Jungle23.

Diesel unveils one-of-a-kind ‘Dirty Thirty’ jeans in honor of its 30th anniversary.

These ‘Dirty Thirty’ jeans will only be available on October 10 for one day only at select Diesel stores nationwide. To say thanks to its fans for their loyalty and support, Diesel is offering the premium denim for $50 (Diesel jeans entry price point is $160).

‘Dirty Thirty’ denim will be available in two top selling styles: Matic for women and Heeven for men. The product features unique detailing such as a back patch with the xXx sign in Roman numerals to commemorate Diesel’s 30 years along with the words ‘Dirty Thirty’.’ Side embroidery will state the dates 1978-2008 and buttons will be customized with ‘Diesel 1978.’

Atmos once again got together with Levi’s and they worked on the EU504. This time they offer one raw style and one washed style, both featuring a multitude of nice details on the rivets, stitching and more.

Atmos will be releasing the pack on the 18th of October.

On September 5th 2008 Edwin Europe celebrated the launchof the exclusive Japanese Vintage Line into Europe. The Japanese Vintage line is limited to a 150 pieces per style in each country and is only available at selected Edwin retailers across Europe now.  The Japanese Vintage line represents the pinnacle of denim engineereing, washing, cuts and love for denim and is available for men and women. To celebrate the launchof the Japanese Vintage Line, Edwin Europe invited Japanese Rock Band, The Dirtrucks, to Paris to perform at the exclusive venue, Le Temple, for a selected group of guests, journalists and fans.

We give you a little preview of the Levi’s Fenom Fall/Winter 2008 collection. A couple of days ago we already showed you the upcoming Mastermind Japan collaboration. Here you see now upcoming pieces with Takashi Murakami, who added his iconic flower design to the denim, as well as clothing.
