Uniqlo +J by Jil Sander Fall/Winter 2009 Collection Lookbook

As we get closer to the October 1st launch date of the Uniqlo +J Collection by Jil Sander, we can show you more images of the collection. Today we can give you a look at the full lookbook. The elegant and sharp cuts by the German designer came out really nice. Mostly we appreciate how easy all pieces of the collection can be worn and matched up with other things. Some of these types of designer collaborations tend to turn out too extreme, which is not at all the case here.

Take a look at the Uniqlo +J by Jil Sander Fall/Winter 2009 Collection Lookbook after the jump.

Jil Sander For Uniqlo J Collection | A First Look
Here’s a first look into Uniqlo’s latest capsule collection with German designer Jil Sander. The line offers a sophisticated, yet casual take on Jil’s minimalist aesthetic with an assortment of simple fabrics, clean cuts and clever details. And being Uniqlo, no piece will retail for more than $200 USD. Word is there are 40 pieces in the men’s J+ collection, including suiting separates, outerwear, trousers, button-downs, and knits. We like what we see so far. Available this Fall.

Jil Sander For Uniqlo | +J

More information has leaked today about the upcoming collection that Jil Sander is creating for Japanese fashion retailer Uniqlo. The line will be called +J.

“Jil Sander’s creative role at Uniqlo extends beyond the +J collection to the brand’s other apparel and accessories for men and women. But it is understood that the designer is focusing her initial efforts on the fall/winter launch of this newly created collection, flying frequently between her home in Hamburg, Germany and Tokyo.

The +J collection will be sold at Uniqlo’s flagship stores in major cities and on the brand’s own website. A release date has not been established yet, according to a Fast Retailing spokeswoman.” Via WWD.

The logo already reveils the minimalist approach that one would have expected from the German designer. We cannot wait to see the first collection!

highsnobiety - Jil Sander Fall/Winter 2008 Sneakers
Ever since Raf Simons took over the creative direction of Jil Sander, the expectations have been set high. We show you the new sneaker line-up of the Jil Sander Fall/Winter 2008 collection.
This season there are two low top sneakers and one high top sneaker. Just like we are used from the German brand, the silhouettes and colors stay very clean and simple. One low top comes with a velcro strap, the other one plays with several panels on the toe box, something we have not seen before. The high top is also very simple and clean. Also, the entire line-up features a nice play with materials, that you sometime do not even realize the first time you look at them.
