This year will be seeing a series of interesting Air Jordan 5 Retro releases. One of the most anticipated is for sure the above Wolf Grey version. The mid top basketball sneaker looks great with the clean grey upper, contrasting stitching and translucent outer sole. A release for the Japanese market is set for May 2011.

Today Spike Lee published an image, previewing two interesting new colorways of the Jordan Spizikes. It looks like Michael Jordan has gifted Spike Lee with two pairs of NY Knicks colored Spiz’ikes, as a tribute to their strongest season in some time. As many of you will already know, the sneaker, originally released in 2006, was created by Jordan and Spike, mating the Jordan III, IV, V, VI and XX. The shoe also includes an image of Spike’s Mars Blackmon character on the heel, as well as the ‘40 Acres & A Mule’ logo, representing Spike’s film production company. These are likely “Player Exclusives,” but we’ll be sure to update you if a wider release is announced.

It looks like Jordan Brand teamed up with Nitro Microphone Underground member XBS on a pack of sneakers. For the Jordan Tokyo 23 initiative the two worked on a Jordan 5 Retro and a Jordan CP3 IV. Both sneakers are highlighted with a warm yellow tone on the upper and feature the Jordan Tokyo 23 logo embroidered on the side-panels. For the launch of the initiative, expected end of May 2011, a website will go live at jordantokyo23.com. Hopefully we are soon able to tell you more about it.

Taking the best points from the Jordan 2010 and the Jordan 2011, the Jordan Fly Wade was officially unveiled yesterday in Miami. Designed by Mark Smith, Jordan Creative Director, the shoe lands just in time for Dwayne Wade’s playoff push.

Here are three things you should know about the Fly Wade -

1. The Fly Wade is the first signature shoe from Jordan Brand for Dwayne Wade.
2. The Fly Wade is the lightest shoe ever offered by Jordan Brand.
3. The Fly Wade is set to hit Nike ID on May 25, 2011.

Additionally, both Smith and Wade mention comfort as a key point. Smith said of the shoe, “At this level, comfort is performance.” Wade agrees, noting that come playoff time, it is super important that the shoe just fits right. Though an initial signature offering, notes to Wade’s off-court personality are kept to a minimum, his grace and pace on the court inspiration enough for the “Fly” to join the ranks of Jordan models.

Jordan adds yet another sneaker to their CMFT collection, this time inspired by the Air Jordan 10. The Jordan CMFT Max Air 10 comes April 2011 in three colors – green, red and yellow. The wavy lines and quick lacing system from the AJ X return in this low top runner, which will drop in stores on April 9th.

Today we can give you a first look at the new Jordan CMFT Viz Air 13. The upper comes in a classic black/black patent leather with hints of red on the outer sole and lining. Overall a very clean looking sneaker with its white outer sole and air unit. The sneaker will release April 9th.

After much talk the Jordan Prime 5 “Laser” is actually about to drop. While we like a lot the clean black color upper and red accents on the sneaker, the laser treatment might just be a little bit too much. Look out for a release soon from Kasina.
