Junya Watanabe’s latest collection for Comme des Garcons has been delivered. Taking a very interesting hunting and fishing inspired twist to obsolete cloakroom staples. As we have seen in the past, much of this season is dedicated to collaborative pieces. Updating classic Harrington and Gloverall jackets and Levi’s jeans with modern details such as elbow pads, yokes and more – in denim, wool, reversible suede, nylon and leather – Junya Watanabe has produced a series of unrivaled items. The Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons x Tricker’s collaboration has finally landed in stores. The premium leather wingtips come in blue, white and red, feature tan leather soles and contrasting white stitching. You can purchase them now from Ripe Ark.

We have seen quite a few collaborations between Japanese brands and Trickers lately. Uniform Experiment and Sophnet both worked with the traditional English shoe makers for Fall/Winter 2008. For Spring/Summer 2009 Junya Watanabe worked with the brand on a classic wingtip shoe. It comes in four colorways – navy, white, black and red.

Once again Junya Watanabe teamed up with Brooks Brothers for Spring/Summer 2009. We loved the pieces of last season, but they were also ridiculously expensive. To give you an idea, the Fall/Winter shirts went for 700 USD.

Well, nevertheless we want to show you the line-up for Spring. Once again they worked on two shirts, mixing traditional shirt fabrics in interesting ways. The shirts come in blue and white and feature the Brooks Brothers logo on the chest. Furthermore they worked on a great patchwork blazer.

Announced by us earlier, Junya Watanabe worked for the first time as part of the Spring/Summer 2009 collection with Baracuta. The outcome of the collaboration we show you today. They worked on a couple of trenchcoats, featuring colorful inside jackets, which make for a nice contrast. They also worked on a checker version of the classic G9 jacket by Baracuta.
