We already presented the new Levi’s jeans from the Junya Watanabe MAN Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. Here is now a further look at the latest pieces of the collection.

Of course we are as usual excited about the line. Junya Watanabe continues to play with patchwork patterns, different fabrics and graphics and presents an interesting heritage inspired look. As much as we do like the shirting this season, we believe the outerwear, at least what releases until now, could have been a little more exciting and seems very similar to what we have seen in previous seasons. Let’s hope that will change though out the season.

As part of their new Spring/Summer 2012 Collection Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons MAN once again worked together with Levi’s. This season they present the 1966 JWXX denim. While staying true to the Junya style of playing with patchwork patterns and fabrics, cotton canvas, corduroy and leather were used this season. Haven already has them in stock.

The Comme des Garcons Junya Watanabe MAN Fall/Winter 2012 Collection was shown today in Paris. Marking yet another strong season from the Japanese designer, we see another dose of heavy workwear inspiration, yet done in Junya’s exciting and progressive manner. Moving forward while thinking of the past, yet not clinging to either too strongly. We’re fans.

From the new Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons MAN Spring/Summer 2012 Collection we present an interesting patchwork denim shirt. Coming with a dark denim base, the shirt features check pattern and paisley fabrics placed on the upper, resulting in an interesting handmade look.

A series of great pieces are highlighted in the photos, including great jackets, denim, shoes and also accessories. The knitwear from Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons has been excellent this season and they continue with some more solid pieces. Today we present the Wool Knit Stadium Jumper, which is basically a knit version of the classic stadium jacket. It comes in two colorways and is now available from vendor.

Once again eYe Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons MAN teamed up as part of its Fall/Winter 2011 Collection with The North Face. As usual we love the outcome of the capsule collection, which consists this season of several beige and black shell jackets. All featuring Gore-TEx outer shells, the jackets come with waterproof zippers and corduroy accents in black or brown on the collars and pockets. The linings feature tartan patterns in red or green. Very solid looking jackets, that will serve you well this seasons and many going forward.

We could simply not resist posting up another great outerwear piece from the Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons MAN Fall/Winter 2011 Collection, next to the Duvetica collaboration, that we just presented.

Earlier this season the brand already released two varsity jackets in a more classic wool/leather combo. Now they combined the jacquard knit that they have been using heavily for their knitwear pieces and blazers Fall/Winter 2011, with the classic varsity jacket. The outcome is once again impressive and simply beautiful. These of course come in very limited numbers and are now available from END.

Another great collaboration coming from Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons MAN this season is their work with Duvetica. They present a padded down jacket and a matchind reversible down vest. Both feature beige uppers. The jacket comes with corduroy and checker panels on the back, as well as plaid lining. The vest is beige on one side and red/white plaid on the other and zips all the way up. Both pieces are now available from END.

The Sweat Duffle Coat perfectly represents what we appreciate the most of the brand – taking classics into a new direction via material use. From the continuing collaboration between Tricker’s and Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons MAN the Super Boot has released for Fall/Winter 2011. The high rise boot comes in chocolate brown and in a lighter snuff brown this season, featuring wingtip detailing and a Goodyear welted, light weight, Vibram outer sole. As with all shoes coming from this collaboration, the lining comes in red and the in-sole features both brands logos.

We preview some more footwear from the upcoming Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons MAN Spring/Summer 2012 Collection.

The Japanese brand continues to work with Tricker’s and presents the classic wingtip brogue in two colorways next season. The upper is made of black leather and canvas, giving the shoe a more casual look. The contrasting metal eyelets and leather mid-sole are a nice touch on these.

Here comes the next exciting item from the current Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons MAN Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. Together with Johnson Leathers from San Francisco, the Japanese brand presents their new range of varsity jackets. The 100% wool body is complemented with leather by the heritage S.F. supplier in off white. The jackets feature two front pockets and a chest zip pocket, come in two colorways and have been produced in very limited numbers in Japan.

After the 3 Eye Lugs, we present today the Comme des Garcons Junya Watanabe MAN Suede Wingtip Brogues for Fall/Winter 2011. Just like the lugs, these also come in a sand and a brown suede colorway, featuring leather outer soles and a leather lining. The leather soles feature a layer of rubber, to add comfort to the shoe. Also these seem a little less pointy than your usual brogue, taking away a bit of elegance and adding a little more everyday look to them. Junya Watanabe always knows how to catch our attention. The designer’s wool jacquard pieces for Fall/Winter 2011 kill it again and next to blazers and jackets, they have now also released the matching backpacks. Coming in three colorways, the uppers are knitted Fair Isle jacquard and the linings are cotton. With an otherwise simple outfit, these will certainly attract some attention and set a great accent on your look. colette (storeguide) has all three backpacks in stock now.

Some of you might remember the collaborative jeans sweat pants by Comme des Garcons Junya Watanabe MAN in collaboration with Levi’s earlier this year.

Along the same lines, the brand presents for Fall/Winter 2011 the above anklecut sweat pants. Also styled like a 5 pocket jeans, the sweat pants come in navy, featuring red thread details on the upper and tartan accents on the lining. The pants are now available from vendor.
