As usual Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons gets together with the best in each category to put together their collection. For Fall/Winter 2011 they once again worked with Borsalino from Italy, the brand known to make the best handmade hats in the world.

They present the felt wool bowler hat in black and navy with tonal ribbon detailing. colette has the hats in stock now.

For Spring/Summer 2012 Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons will release a range of Duck Boots. Though the form doesn’t stray much from the standard, the all-white and all-blue make ups are certainly a more fashion forward take on the inclimate weather classic.

Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons MAN continues its collaboration with Levi’s, which has been going on for several seasons already now. For Fall/Winter 2011 they present a new pair of patchwork denim, featuring plaid and leather patches on a washed jeans with corduroy accent set around the waist. A little heavy on the eyes for our taste, but some Junya fans will for sure not mind. The jeans are now available from colette.

Our friends from Union LA were on site at the Junya Watanabe Spring/Summer 2012 showing in Paris and grabbed a closer look at a few pairs of upcoming footwear. The mid-cut duck boots (though not particularly different from the norm) are a stand out, alongside several pairs of more traditional mens brogues and chukkas, done in interesting color schemes.

Selectism delivers looks from the Junya Watanabe Spring 2012 collection. “Well, we say runway, we actually mean grass path. GQ has the looks from Watanabe’s latest collection, which took place on greenery. The showpiece of the show? Dungarees. Yes, those dungarees. It’s more stylish farmer than DMX circa 1998, but the Watanabe fans (Watanabenettes?) will be on the fence about it.”

The strong colored outerwear is a favorite of ours, as well as the usual footwear, shirt and denim collaborations. One might not see much progress in the Junya Watanabe line, but it stays true to what it has been in the last couple of years and will for sure please the Junya fans out there.

After the presentation of the upcoming mastermind JAPAN Fall/Winter 2011 Collection, Japanese Sense Magazine also brings us a nice look at the forthcoming collection of Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons. Highlighted is mostly the outerwear and the beautiful knitted blazers that already caught our eye on the runway earlier this year. The brand remains to be one of our favorites, always finding new ways to interpret classics and adding innovative details to iconic pieces.

As part of the Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons MAN Spring/Summer 2011 Collection, the Japanese brand once again joined forces with heritage Italian hat makers Borsalino. The outcome of the collaboration is a capsule collection of two hats, a white fedora hat and a blue/white striped hunting cap. Both feature minimal details, with the collaboration only being communicated via the labeling on the inside lining. Both hats are now available from Dover Street Market.

In their latest collaboration, Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons MAN and Tricker’s presents two desert boots. Next to a more classic brown suede version, they also produced a beautiful orange suede colorway, perfect for the summer. Both come with red linings and logo placements of both brands on the in-sole. The boots are now in stock at Dover Street Market.
