We take a closer look at two jackets from the Junya Watanabe Fall/Winter 2009 Collection. Both jackets come in vibrant colors, while being based in terms of silhouette and style on classic hunting jackets. The contrast of these two elements, along with a nice set of details, makes both jackets stand-out. They are now available at Browns.

We bring you more looks from the Junya Watanabe Fall/Winter 2009 Collection. After presenting you last week the Tricker’s collaboration shoes and boots, as well as the Levi’s denim, we show you today some of the fantastic jackets of the collection, along with some t-shirts. The jackets strictly follow the hunting and fishing theme of the line and aside from solid colors and material combinations, also feature a good amount of heritage functionality. The long standing collaboration between Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons and Levi’s continues for Fall/Winter 2009. The designer applied lots of leather and plaid patches to the denim, infusing the hunting and fishing theme that we have seen through-out the entire collection, into the classic denim. This season they present a 505 and a 503 model, both available now at Deepinside Inc.

In collaboration with Tricker’s, Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons presents a new low suede shoe as part of their Fall/Winter 2009 Collection. Yesterday we showed you the matching boots, here now the low cut version. The shoe is perfect for the colder times this season and the color is well chosen, making it easy to match. From the Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons Fall/Winter 2009 Collection come these new suede boots. The high boots come in a light beige suede and feature some nice wingtip details on the upper. All in all a very solid shoe for the colder times that are ahead of us. The boots are now available at colette.

The new Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons Fall/Winter 2009 Collection is entirely inspired by hunting and fishing, thus not an entirely new theme in clothing overall. Yet we have to say that we like the solid pieces of the line a lot and one of our favorite knitwear pieces is this hunting cardigan. It comes with a wool diamond pattern in classic colors and feature suede patches on the elbows and the shoulder, keeping it true to its original use. The cardigan is now available at colette.

As you all know, we are big fans of Junya Watanabe and today we get a first detailed look at the Japanese designers Spring/Summer 2010 Collection. The designer summed up the line with the word “snob”, which could of course not be more fitting.

“…perky variations of essentially one look: fitted plaid jacket, crisp and preppy shirt, cropped or cuffed pants and upper-crust accessories: ascots, pocket squares and small-brimmed hats. To the soothing melodies of Serge Gainsbourg, out strolled jackets – enough to outfit many a Scottish golf club – while a new collaboration with Mackintosh yielded handsome beige trench coats or parkas in vivid blues and forest greens. Suppressing his penchant for tricky, transforming garments – save for the odd hood attached to blazers – Watanabe turned snobbery into an approachable and stylish collection.”

We like the collection a lot. Our favorites include the Mackintosh collaboration trench coats, as well as the blazer turned technical jackets. Only very few stronger colors are used in the line, while the rest of it sticks to classic colors and looks. Another thing that we appreciate a lot is that one can actually wear most of the line, something that you cannot say about many collections shown on the runway.

Tres Bien Shop brings us a nice video preview of the Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons Fall/Winter 2009 Collection that is getting into stores this summer. As usual the Japanese designer presents some great alterations of classics and worthy updates, while keeping an overall clean and wearable look. Something to be looking out for!

A nice short sleeve shirt is coming from the Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons MAN Spring/Summer 2009 Collection. As usual we enjoy the little twists that the designer adds to otherwise pretty standard looking pieces. The shirt comes with a plaid panel on the bottom back. It is now available at Ark.
