Once again K-Swiss presents a new campaign featuring Kenny Powers. In the new campaign, created with agency partner 72andSunny, Powers’ mission as CEO is to change the sports world from being “so safe and lame ass” to “being more gonzo” by any means necessary. He retools senior management, enlisting a wide range of elite and entertaining professional athletes.

In his latest video from the Test Shots series, director Jake Davis films Shonagh Marshall, wearing pieces from the upcoming K-Swiss by Brendon Babenzien Summer 2011 Collection.

In an interesting new collaboration K-Swiss has teamed up with menswear designer Billy Reid. The outcome is a simple canvas summer sneaker. Added details seen on the laces, lining and upper, as well as the Alabama produced wooden box packaging, make these low tops certainly stand out. Two more colorways of the sneaker will be coming with the general release.

Exclusive to the Japanese market, K-Swiss has released their The Classic low top sneaker in two new snakeskin versions. The clean snakeskin uppers have been paired with black leather logo stripes and D-ring eyelets. Via houyhnhnm.

UK-based label Garbstore gave us a first look at their collaborative K-Swiss sneaker at (capsule) Las Vegas. Based on a Swiss Military sneaker, the shoe is a pared-down archival K-Swiss style done in a mix of canvas and leather with a ton of amazing little details – something Garbstore does very, very well. For example, the rubber toe seen above was completely reworked. To top things off, the sneakers will come packaged in a tin box. Nice one.

Last week we reported about the possible collaboration between Supreme and K-Swiss. Rather than a Supreme branded K-Swiss Collection to be released, it looks like Supreme’s creative director, Brendon Babenzien worked with the sportswear brand on a special line, entitled “California Tennis Co.”, which we can preview today. You can look out for a release next month.
