Patta in collaboration with KANGOL® proudly present the Merino Beanie. The Patta x KANGOL® Merino Beanie is made from the finest and softest natural Merino wool to keep your head comfortably warm and dry.

Details include a cable knit inspired by the heraldic symbol that represents our beloved city of Amsterdam. Those who have ever walked the city’s famous canals will also recognize the two colors from the red-brown steel bollards and traditional green front doors. The co-branded leather tab seals the deal.

Patta presents the next item in their ongoing, collaborative 5th anniversary collection. Working with the legendary KANGOL® brand, Patta outfitted the classic Bugatti with rich full grain leather and a quilted satin lining. The Bugatti has convertible earflaps which can be snapped up with co-branded press studs. Patta and KANGOL® embroideries on the back solidify this special collaboration. Comes with limited release poster featuring many favorite Dutch music artists. Scheduled to release October 1st, 2009 at Patta. Selected top tier Kangol-dealers worldwide will receive stock soon after.

Kangol has gone through an interesting path these recent years and is once again relevant, also for a younger market. Not only did the brand present interesting collaborative projects, but a growing market of mature shoppers is looking for alternatives to the otherwise very slow moving hat market, which offers little choice. Kangol has been making quality headwear for many years and it is great seeing them come back.

For Fall/Winter 2009 they once again present a very solid collection, that has its roots in the traditions of the brand, which have been projected nicely into the current fashion climate. The outdoors have a big influence on the brand and are relflected in each and every piece.

In their latest collaboration we see Staple get together with traditional hat maker Kangol. Together they worked on a 5-panel safari cap, a style that Kangol might actually be less known for. The cap is made out of UV protective Taslon outer fabric and features drop down panels to protect your back and neck. Furthermore the cap features adjustable  sizing with a toggle and cable, removable sun shade, and of course the iconic Staple pigeon logo.

The Staple x Kangol Pigeon Sunhat is being released tomorrow, July 17th, at Reed Space for 77 USD. Furthermore it will be released at Commonwealth, St. Alfreds, Bodega and True in the US and in Europe at Dover Street Market, Hip/Leeds, Hanon, Colette, SNS. In Asia it comes to Kangol Japan Omotesando, Juice, Sole What, Invincible and Qubic.

Patta continues to impress with great collaborative projects, celebrating their 5th anniversary. After working with Stussy and Ontour, Patta now also got together with Kangol, of course on a hat. The hunting hat comes in all brown premium leather with ear flaps and features a tonal Patta logo embroidery on the front. The top of the hat features two metal buttons, both carrying the logos of the brands involved in the collaboration. Further great details follow on the lining, making this one of the best collaborations with Kangol that we have seen so far. Look out for a release soon, we will defintely keep you posted.

First previewed here during the last Bread & Butter tradeshow in January, we can give you a more detailed look at the upcoming “Japanese Jersey” Collection by Kangol. We return with another episode from Bread & Butter, produced once again by the good people from Flake TV. This time we talked to David Wilson, Creative Director of Kangol. Some of you might have heard of him already, as he is also behind the collaborations with Fragment Design, Alife and many others.

Jeff talked to David about the Kangol Fall/Winter 2009 Collection. They present some great new fleece pieces, made of high end Japanese fleece, as well as a Liberty of London collaboration capsule collection.

Bread & Butter Barcelona was a hectic week and we are finally getting into our rhythm again. A while back we showed you a preview of the Highsnobiety x Flake.tv video series and promised more to come. Today we start with our first interview from the show floor. Jeff Staple was nice enough to walk us through his upcoming collections.

We get an interesting first look at the upcoming Staple x Penfield jacket, as well as the upcoming Staple x Kangol hats that will be releasing later this year. Lots more to come from us and Flake.tv. Enjoy!

Once again Fragment Design and Kangol get together on a beanie. This time the worked on the Cuffless Wool Beanie, which comes in overall four colorways. The beanie will come in black, white, grey and navy and each color is limited to 200 pieces worldwide. Via Honeyee.

As part of their Fall/Winter 2008 collection, Alife has worked once again with Kangol on the “Bugged” beanies. This season they are coming in red, grey and black. They are now all three available at Overkill.
