A great set of beanies comes from a recent collaboration between Kangol and Denim Demon.

“Denim Demon has teamed with Kangol to produce two color variations of a classic ski cap. The inspirations are two fold. First, in color scheme and iconography, the Denim Demon boys look north to the Sami culture (which drives so much of their design). Second, the guys remember Swedish skiing legend Ingemar Stenmark. Known for the height of his ski cap, Stenmark has raced to more victories than any other slalom and giant slalom in history – including two golds at the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympics.”

We get an early look at the next range of beanies that fragment design worked on with Kangol. This time they chose a different silhouette and went with more colorful, yet traditional inspired patterns. Look out for a release in a series of colorways soon. Via HF.

Celebrating Manhattan-based athletics company Everlast’s 100th anniversary, British hatmaker Kangol deliver a limited run of hats. Josh Peskowitz of Esquire reports -

“Boxers, both historical and fictional, have long had a penchant for headwear, and Kangol selected four styles from the last century — each representing a different era in the Everlast timeline. The two standouts for us are the Beanie (above at left, representing 1961-85) and the Player, a crushable felt fedora frequented in the 25 years before that. As with the other two looks, both hats will be available in black come October, and you can pretty easily picture their referential yet modern appeal atop the heads of such luminaries as Rocky Balboa and Muhammad Ali (or at least his friend Malcolm X).”

Once again Patta got together with Kangol. This time they present a set of Merino Beanies. The Patta x KANGOL® Merino Beanie is made from the finest and softest natural Merino wool to keep your head comfortably warm and dry.

Here’s a closer look at the collaboration between Undefeated and Kangol. The ECK-1 Cap comes not only in navy, but also in black with white logo embroideries. Available May 29 2010 at all Undefeated chapter and web stores.

Continuing their on-going collaboration, fragment design has once again worked with Kangol, this time on the Mau Cap. The workers cap comes in overall three colorways, featuring contrasting stitching on the upper and the collaborative logo that has been on all their other caps as well. These will release tomorrow, April 16th. Via honeyee.

Kangol produced a really nice lookbook to present their new Spring/Summer 2010 Collection. We definitely feel the look of the shoot, which nicely presents the Kangol classics in a new modern light. The new collection combines Kangol classics with new materials and colorways. We especially like the new patterns, which scream summer.
