Yesterday we reported about Kanye West’s Twitter rant – in the matter of a couple of hours Kanye tweeted 86 times, explaining a lot of things around his fashion career, him designing, his aspirations as a designer and more. Most importantly though, he mentioned the creation of a new design company going by the name DONDA, named after his late mother.

Last night Kanye West corrected some rumors with a series of tweets. He talks about his current fashion involvement and what we can expect from him in the coming months and years. One thing is for sure – he is excited and will make a lot of moves in this area.

First of all he mentions that his fashion line is called Kanye West and not DW by Kanye West. He also mentions that he is currently not represented by any agency for his fashion line. Also he says that there is no investors in his fashion line and that his first collection and show was all paid for by himself, with money that he made touring.

Kanye says that he has been offered to do urban clothing lines already 8 years ago and since then he is planning on doing something in the fashion world. Leave his mark. He talks about Bape turning down to produce his line and about shutting his first LA design office (which to our knowledge was for Pastelle at the time) after the MTV incident.

Afterwards he talks about interning at Fendi and being offered a position at Versace, which he could not take because of his working relationship with Louis Vuitton on sneakers. After 4 months at Fendi, Giuseppe Zanotti taught him to design women’s shoes already 2 years before starting the new fashion line. He goes and talks about designing a new Nike sneaker, the Yeezy, every 2 years.

Last he touches on his new design company, called DONDA, after his late mother. “DONDA will be comprised of over 22 divisions with a goal to make products and experiences that people want and can afford…”.

Well, as usual, the man has a lot of plans and we cannot wait to see which ones become reality!

CraveOnline put together a comprehensive list of some of the most anticipated hip-hop albums of 2012. They definitely hit the nail on the head with most of these. Some albums on the list include the G.O.O.D. Music album, which is said to feature Pusha T, Common, John Legend, Mos Def, Mr. Hudson, Big Sean, Kid Cudi, Kanye, and others. If that’s not enough to peak interest in this release, then we don’t know what is.

It certainly seems like the DW by Kanye West fashion brand is not dead yet. Today the official Twitter account of the brand launched. Interesting is also the people that the account follows – Anja Rubik, Central St. Martins, Kanye West himself and Jean Touitou of A.P.C. The first three on the list are 100% involved in the brand, we did not know that Jean Touitou is involved. But it seems like he is involved in one way or another. Since there is no official website for the brand yet, this new Twitter account is probably the best way to keep up with everything new coming from the DW brand.

Today reports have been released that Kanye West will be moving from Los Angeles to London soon, to take his fashion designer career more serious. After his fashion week debut in October 2011 with his first women’s runway collection, he wants to be closer to his co-designers and Central Saint Martin students helping out on the DW line.

One cannot exactly say that his fashion debut was an easy ride. Even though the who’s who of the international fashion world turned up at the show, critics were not very good. Knowing how ambitious Kanye is, he wants to ensure that that is not the case next time around. (Via Grazia)

The Nike Air Yeezy 2 has not been released yet, and currently seems to have a March 2012 release date, yet Kanye West tweeted out late last night that he is already working on the Air Yeezy 3. It seems like the collaboration between the recording artist and the Swoosh is continuing. We will of course keep you posted.

After numerous sightings of the upcoming Nike Air Yeezy 2 on Kanye West’s feet during the Watch The Throne tour, we now get a first more detailed look at the upcoming sneaker collaboration between Nike and Kanye West. With an estimated release date scheduled for early March 2012, you can expect the sneaker to come like last time it at least 2-3 colorways. With the following images you get a better understanding of the new design and choice of materials. If these are the final ones that will also release, we cannot confirm at this point.

Canadian street style photographer Tommy Ton has produced the best images of Watch the Throne we’ve seen yet. Shot at Madison Square Garden over two nights, his photos of Kanye West and Jay-Z have just gone online at his personal blog JAK & JIL and are full of Givenchy, Jordans, Timbs and Air Yeezy 2s.

According to the @AirMag Twitter account, the Nike Air Yeezy 2 is dropping in just over 100 days, which pegs us at March 23, 2012. If you recall, the original Air Yeezys released in March, April and May 2009 respectively, so this countdown seems legit. Start saving.
