Original Fake "Undercover Bear Kaws Companion" Toy | More Detailed Views

After giving you a first look at the upcoming collaborative vinyl toy between Undercover and Original Fake, we can show you some more images of the two colorways of the toy today. Jun Takahashi’s Undercover Bear and Kaws’ Companion come together in this one. They present the toy in a black and an off-white colorway, with the bear holding the smaller Companion. The toy will be released on August 29th at Undercover stores and at Original Fake Tokyo.

A Glimpse At TK's (Silly Thing) Art Collection | Kaws, Futura & More

TK of Silly Thing has worked on a series of very impressive projects in recent years. We reported about the recent Iron Man figure, The Beatles 1000% Kubricks and many more. Today we get a look at his personal art collection, which is nothing short of impressive. You will find numerous pieces from Kaws and Futura, along with other great contemporary artists. The symetry that is injected in the collection is also very nice – have a look at his toy line-up, where he placed multiple pieces of the same toy in the same colorway together, forming an overall eye-catching collection.

Complex Interviews Brian "KAWS" Donnelly
Complex Magazine profiled 34-year-old, Brooklyn-based artist Brian Donnelly, A.K.A. KAWS for their August/September Style & Design issue. They just put the uncut interview with online, where he speaks on his recent work with Sorayama and Clipse as well as touching on Supreme, BAPE and his own Original Fake. A bonus video featuring “a smoking hot model making out with the KAWS x Hajime Sorayama x Medicom/Original Fake NO FUTURE COMPANION figure” is also on tap.

Kaws 4Feet Gray Dissected Companion
Word on the internet is Kaws will release a second 4FT Dissected Companion in a tonal grey colorway. “Not for the faint of heart or the spatially deprived, these monsters will be set loose at the end of the month to those lucky few OriginalFake account holders. Much like the original Brown version, this monochromatic colorway will most likely be in an edition of 100 and retail for approximately $6000US. No word yet on an official kawsone.com online release, so for those interested keep an eye out at your local OF retailer.” (Arrested Motion)

Lance Armstrong & Nike Present: Stages Exhibition - A First Look

To heighten global awareness of the cancer burden, Lance has teamed up with Nike to present “STAGES,” an art show that benefits The Lance Armstrong Foundation.

Engaging the creative community in the fight against cancer, “STAGES” exhibits over twenty original works of art in response to the devastating disease with a distinct focus on the subject of survivorship. The show features some of the world’s most accomplished and promising international artists, including Ed Ruscha, Cai-Guo Qiang, Richard Prince, Catherine Opie, KAWS, Eric White, José Parlá, Christopher Wool, Tom Sachs, Dzine, and Rosson Crow.

The show unites the worlds of art, philanthropy and sport in a unique celebration of human potential inspired by Lance and dedicated to the fight against cancer. “It will project hope, strength and commitment to millions and carry the LIVESTRONG Global Cancer Campaign all over the world. I am humbled by the effort and energy given by so many to bring STAGES to life.“ said Lance Armstrong.

The show opens to the public on Friday, July 17th following a preview today for invited guests at the world renowned Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin in Paris. It will also travel to the United States this fall. All work is available for purchase with proceeds directly benefiting the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
