Today we can present you the next vinyl toy to come from New York artist Kaws – Snoopy. This time he remixed the iconic Snoopy cartoon character. Produced as usual by Original Fake, the cooperative brand by Kaws and Japanese toy company Medicom. The Joe Kaws Snoopy Toy will be released next week at the Original Fake store and online on Kawsone.com.

Curated puts us onto a new exhibit from KAWS coming in February 2012 at Atlanta’s High Museum. Given that the show is still about 5 months away, no need to mark your calendar just yet, as you are sure to hear more about the exhibition as the opening approaches down the road. In addition to being treated to a new body of work, visitors can also hang around to watch KAWS in action as he prepares a giant site-specific mural that will come in at a whopping 22-feet high. Also, the giant companion sculpture from 2010 is slated to make an appearance; with that and the giant mural, this show is shaping up to be one of the artist’s most memorable.

On October 20th, Common Gallery in Tokyo will be opening the new Eric Elms ‘Wish You Were Here’ exhibition. The New York artist put his character Kilroy at the center of the exhibition, and thus it comes with no surprise that he also appears on the collaborative t-shirt that Elms and fellow New York artist Kaws have worked on. Kilroy meets the Companion character by Kaws on the t-shirt. The tee will be released at the opening of the exhibition in Tokyo.

Neighborhood just opened last week their new Shibuya Tokyo flagship store. For the occasion the brand presents some special items. Next to t-shirts and bags, as well as some kids pieces, the two collaboration Kaws/Original Fake tees and Bounty Hunter tee are probably the most interesting in the line-up.

Last night the latest Kaws exhibition, Hold The Line, at Honor Fraser Gallery opened its doors. Overall 50 circular paintings were presented at the show, inspired by the artists’ Sponge Bob Square Pants influence. Yet the two 8 feet tall Companion figures were certainly among the most impressive pieces in the show, next to one very large rectangular painting.

Today we can can give you a preview of the upcoming Kaws ‘Hold The Line’ exhibition, opening on September 10th, at Honor Fraser Gallery in Los Angeles. We take an early look at the paintings that will be on display, mostly consisting of round canvas, featuring cartoon character interpretations by the New York artist.

From the Original Fake ID program the latest t-shirt has released. The Halloween ID tee comes in black and white, and let’s you once again put your own personal message on the t-shirt with the Kaws style front. In true Halloween style, the letting comes this time in bright orange along with a character placed on the back of the tee.

This weekend the latest Kaws exhibition will be opening its doors. The Honor Fraser Gallery in Los Angeles presents ‘Hold The Line’. You will be able to see new KawsBob paintings, as well as large size Companion sculptures among other works in the exhibition.

This week Original Fake has released a new series of ‘Teeth Pattern’ aka ‘Chompers’ accessories from its Fall/Winter 2011. Next to a canvas belt and a suitcase belt, a favorite of ours has dropped – the watch strap. All three accessories come in a series of colorways and are now available through the official Original Fake online store.

Hennessy brought artist KAWS to Cognac to experience firsthand the process that goes into crafting Hennessy and then went to New York to check out KAWS at his studio. The limited edition KAWS Hennessy V.S bottle will be in stores soon.
