With 2012 being the alleged end of the world, you better plan accordingly. For Holiday 2011 Comme des Garcons gets together with the estate of the late Keith Haring. The Japanese brand presents t-shirts, as well as lambswool and cashmere sweaters, featuring the art of Haring. A release of the collection is scheduled for mid November 2011 at Dover Street Market in London.

We already reported on the uniform experiment x Keith Haring Capsule Collection for Fall/Winter 2011. Today we take a more detailed look at the accessories range from this collaboration. In true Haring style, the range is colorful, especially for UE standards. It consists of a tote bag, necklace, bow tie, scarves and ties. We especially like the tote bag, which reminds us of the classic Goyard shopper.

Today we get a further look at the upcoming capsule collection by uniform experiment and the Keith Haring Foundation. We already presented the tote bag from the collaboration a while ago. Here is now a look at the Knit Cardigan, B.D. Shirt and the Army Stand Collar Blouson. All pieces feature the artwork of the iconic artist, setting interesting highlights, on otherwise rather classic styles.

We have seen Keith Haring art pop up on lots of apparel and accessories these last couple of seasons. After just having been featured heavily in a big Tommy Hilfiger collaboration, the iconic artist’s work will also appear soon on a capsule collection by Japanese brand uniform experiment.

Today we can already preview the tote bag from the collaboration, which will be complemented by t-shirts and jackets upon release. (MNN)

Next to some really nice bags, visvim boot collaborations and a collaboration with Carhartt, uniform experiment seems to have worked with the estate of Keith Haring, featuring the late artist’s artwork on shirts and t-shirts.

Joyrich continues to come out with interesting collaborations for Spring/Summer 2011. Today we take a first look at their upcoming work with the Keith Haring Foundation. As part of the capsule collection they present a tote bag, a backpack and sunglasses, all featuring all-over designs by the late artist. Look out for a release soon.

Currently on display at SoHo’s legendary Deitch Projects is Keith Haring’s 70-foot-long mural painted in 1985 for the South of Market Childcare Center (SOMACC) in San Francisco.

“The mural is one of 16 public works painted at hospitals and children’s centers around the world during the artist’s lifetime. Painted in one day, the mural incorporates cartoon characters and animals inspired by the artist’s childhood drawings. When SOMACC lost its lease and moved to a new location in September 2006, the mural was dismantled and is now on view for the first time outside of San Francisco.”

On display at Deitch until February 16th, 2010.
