Chicago’s Kid Sister has benefited from her Kanye assisted “Pro Nails.” Her brother is part of stellar duo Flostradomus. She chills with A-Trak. David Banner stops by on her debut album, “Dream Date.” All sounds good, it’s just a shame that her album cover art detracts from the budding pedigree. The record itself, however, should prove a winning celebration of retro meets contemporary rap.

Fresh of a mixtape with Rocafella’s Young Chris, DJ Steph Lover combines with G-Shock to produce the "Timing is Everything!!!" mixtape. Helping to promote the G-Shock crazy colors line the tape features young up and comers like Wale and Curren$y. The Cool Kids, Kanye and Kid Sister help Steph rep the midwestern states.
