Puma and Kidrobot have worked together with the Design Association NPO on the “Munny” Charity Project. Working with the Green and Africa theme and having in mind the 2010 soccer worldcup in South Africa, Puma and Kidrobot invited 40 artists and architects to work on their Munny toy. The final toys will be shown at the Tokyo Design Week and there will of course also be a charity auction held. The outcome is very impressive and certainly among the most creative in terms of toy customization we have seen to date.

It’s been quite some time since we’ve posted about a Dunny release, but this latest one by Amanda Visell was too well done to pass on. The Wood Donkey Dunny measures in at 8 inches. Here’s the official story. “Discovered in the woods and raised by lumberjacks, Wood Donkey spends his days chopping down trees. After a lifetime of terrorizing the forest, all the living creatures fear him, forcing him to chop himself up to make new friends. Watch your fingers, because Wood Donkey’s always looking to expand his circle of friends! This 8-inch figure is sold with a bonus stump and axe, and features delicate vinyl leaves as fingers.”
Now available at Kidrobot retailers worldwide including Foosh. Limited to 1500 examples.

““30 CUSTOMS BY 30 ARTISTS: An Auction to benefit the Children of Cambodia” is the first step in trying to help the children that have impacted my life. After traveling to Cambodia last year I fell in love with the people of that country. Everyday I think about the amazing children I met and how I could help them. Most of these children lack the necessities of food, clothing, shoes, and transportation. Many can’t even afford the pencils and notebooks they need to attend school. So instead of attending class they sell trinkets at the temples in order to survive.
These one-of-a-kind custom works are available NOW on eBay under the seller name “BaronessLoves”. Seach for “30×30″ to bid on original pieces from: 123KLAN, Alex Pardee, Andrew Bell, Beast Brothers, Brian Morris, DEPH, DEVILROBOTS, FILTH, Gary Baseman, ILoveDust, Jime Litwalk, Joe Capobianco, Joe Ledbetter, Jon Burgerman, MAD, Maze23 Brooklyn, Mori Chack, Nathan Jurevicius, Pon, SEEN, Shawnimals, Sket One, SourBones, TADO, Tara McPherson, TILT, Tim Biskup, Triclops Studios, Urban Medium, and Christian Jacobs of YoGabbaGabba!
I am very excited about this opportunity to help people that have impacted me so much. I hope that you find a custom you love and bid! If you are interested in helping in any way I am not only looking for monetary donations- If you can provide clothing, notebooks, papers, or pens that would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to email me at toybaroness@gmail.com. Also, if you are interested in directly donating to a non-profit for Cambodian Children, please check out The Cambodian Children’s Fund.”
An interesting collaboration will be coming out from Kidrobot this summer and thanks to RadCollector we can already give you a preview. They got together with Havaianas to collaborate on their flip flops. The outcome of the project are three styles, all three featuring glow-in-the-dark robot head graphics and a glow-in-the-dark robot head key chain.
