Many of you know by now the Labbit character by artist Frank Kozik. Now the Labbit returns in the form of plush toys, featuring tiger and cow patterns all over the upper – say hi to the Tiger Labbit and Cow Labbit. Both come in two sizes and are now available from Kidrobot.

With the help of Kidrobot, the creator of The Simpsons, Matt Groening, is seen for the first time in toy form. This 6″ tall vinyl toy release coincides with The Simpsons’ 500th episode that is set to air in February, hitting retail on February 9, 2012 for $50.00.

Random, we know, but that came to mind upon seeing these Pop! Super Shiny 3-inch Mini Series toys from Kidrobot. Kidrobot has teamed up with Staple to create a vinyl version of their famous Pigeon character, complete with the poop splat. The 7-inch figure is limited to 800 worldwide and will be available November 3 at Kidrobot New York and November 4 at Kidrobot Los Angeles. jeffstaple will be on site for signings.

It has been a while since the last Kidrobot Black release, the very limited and hard to get a hold of toy line by Kidrobot. Coming up is a new collaboration with artist Tara McPherson. This time she can bring one of her female characters to life and presents ‘Lilitu’.

“There is no hiding. A succubus walks. Lilitu. Sexually charged, violently destructive, A Sumerian myth, a demon to be feared. To love and to kill without remorse, one man at a time.

A while ago we presented the impressive collaboration between Kidrobot and Swatch on an artist driven collection of overall 8 watches and 8 matching Dunny toys. Today we present a cool stop motion video that was produced by Happycentro for Swatch on the project.

In an interesting new collaboration, Mishka has teamed up with Kidrobot and today they unveiled the Keep Dunny Chase Figure.

“The 2011 Мишка Dunny has arrived in a blaze of chainsaw-massacring glory ready to skin your sister’s Barbie dolls alive. The beautiful minds over at Kidrobot finally succumbed to our relentless pressure and let us fuck with the Dunny form until it was almost unrecognizable. The 3-inch troublemaker is outfitted with a cute pair of blood-splattered overalls and a mini murder weapon to boot. Although we do choose favorites, all nineteen other cuddly collectables are delightfully deranged in their own special little way.

Each individual Dunny is blind-boxed, so you never know what twisted and ultra-limited artistic creation you’ll get. But ours is a chase figure, so yeah shit’s gonna be incredibly rare to get your grubby paws on.”

It sounds like you might have to get a few Dunnys before coming across this one. The official release takes place on June 23rd, 2011.

Giggity-giggity-goo… Seth MacFarlane’s ridiculous Fox hit gets Kidrobot-ified with these 3-inch FGKRs. Packed full of all those utterly inappropriate good old-fashioned values on which we used to rely, it’s Family Guy! Your faves Peter, Lois, Chris, Stewie and Brian are there along with what’s-her-face. Don’t want to Stop Believin’? Quagmire, Joe and Cleveland make it happen. With more accessories than correctness, each of the 15 blind boxed figures comes with an insert card and begs the question, “Which FGKR will you get?”

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album 3 Feet High and Rising, hip-hop pioneers De La Soul teamed up with Kidrobot to create this limited edition set of 3-inch figures.

Each figure comes with individual accessories and the set comes in futuristic space travel boxes, symbolizing De La’s mission to take hip-hop to the stratosphere and beyond. Retailing for $50, the De La Soul 3-Pack arrives at Kidrobot stores, kidrobot.com, and select retailers on March 18.

The Midnight Magi, designed by acclaimed artist Gary Baseman, is an elegant, 8-inch, matte black vinyl figure featuring white and pink accents that highlight the linework indicative of Baseman’s style. A leader of Los Angeles’ underground art movement, Baseman is a fine artist, painter, toy designer, and TV & movie producer whose work often blends toy culture and fine art.

Kidrobot Black toys are created especially for Kidrobot’s most devoted fans and collectors and each toy is produced as a super-limited run. Kidrobot Black was created by Kidrobot founder Paul Budnitz out of his love for vinyl toys. The line is inspired by the aesthetic of the late nineties urban vinyl toy movement, with an emphasis on texture and simplicity of form and color. Part of the goal of Kidrobot Black is to revisit this aesthetic and modernize it with cutting edge designs by Kidrobot’s top toy designers.

Puma and Kidrobot have worked together with the Design Association NPO on the “Munny” Charity Project. Working with the Green and Africa theme and having in mind the 2010 soccer worldcup in South Africa, Puma and Kidrobot invited 40 artists and architects to work on their Munny toy. The final toys will be shown at the Tokyo Design Week and there will of course also be a charity auction held. The outcome is very impressive and certainly among the most creative in terms of toy customization we have seen to date.

It’s been quite some time since we’ve posted about a Dunny release, but this latest one by Amanda Visell was too well done to pass on. The Wood Donkey Dunny measures in at 8 inches. Here’s the official story. “Discovered in the woods and raised by lumberjacks, Wood Donkey spends his days chopping down trees. After a lifetime of terrorizing the forest, all the living creatures fear him, forcing him to chop himself up to make new friends. The iconic creature used in various DJ A-Trak projects, and designed by artist Dust La Rock, has been crafted into an 8 inch plastic toy. Kid Robot will be releasing a limited run of 500 “Grateful Bear” figures, which come outfitted with a gold-plated A-Trak necklace, leather cuff, cotton sweatband, snowcapped igloo, fitted cap and wayfarers.

The A-Trak x Dust La Rock x Kidrobot “Grateful Bear” will be available July 2nd at Kidrobot and other select retailers for $50USD.
