We have previously reported about the launch of the Kidrobot pop-up store at Selfridges in London. Here we now take a look at the opening party of the event, which had many specials waiting for the attendees. Check out the video and more images of the opening here.

Toy artist Tim Tsui has released a special version of his “Da Fighter” toy, exclusively at Kidrobot. This version comes with a Swarvoski bracelet, mace and tribal printing on the upper and lots of use of glow-in-the-dark ink.

In January Kidrobot will be releasing the “KidPunk” edition of the Kidrobot 16 toys. Paying homage to the punk scene, there will be three versions of the toy – a ‘74, ‘80 and ‘84 edition.

Ears pierced and Mohawks high, each 8-inch figure in this evolutionary trifecta rocks a band tee and its favorite vinyl record from that year. Get ready to mosh with them on January 8.

Kidrobot, the world’s premier creator and retailer of limited edition art toys, apparel and accessories is set to open its first ever store-gallery overseas at Selfridges Oxford Street, London. From January 22 to February 21, 2009, the Selfridges Concept Store, located in The Wonder Room, will be transformed into the Kidrobot universe through eye-popping window displays, a curated collection of limited edition merchandise, ultra-exclusive new releases, and an artist-studded release party for Kidrobot’s Ye Olde English Dunny Series.

Larger-than-life-sized inflatable toys designed by Kidrobot’s creative team will take over the Concept Store’s windows along Orchard and Oxford Street. The one thousand square foot store-gallery will sell everything from signature toys like Munny and Dunny to tees and hoodies to a collection of bags kitted-out in original prints and toys. The space will also feature Kidrobot’s coveted accessory line by Tarina Tarantino, Frank Kozik’s Labbit stools, and 20-inch vinyl toys customized by world-famous UK artists such as ilovedust and Jon Burgerman.

To mark this epic collaboration, Kidrobot and Selfridges are launching the store-gallery with a release party for Kidrobot’s Ye Olde English Dunny Series, a 17-figure lineup of art toys designed by top UK artists such as ilovedust, Clutter, Triclops, Jon Burgerman and TADO. In addition, Kidrobot created an exclusive version of their highly anticipated Kidrobot 16, which will be available only at the Kidrobot x Selfridges store-gallery. Known as UK Punk, this insanely rare figure comes complete with a Union Jack paint job, a studded belt, and will drop in a limited edition run of 300 pieces.

After recently giving you a preview of the Krink Mailbox Toy, that Kidrobot will be releasing very soon, we show you today the upcoming Ron English 8″ Dunny.

Something to be looking out for!

Soon everybody will be able to have his very own Krink Mailbox at home, thanks to Kidrobot.

Kidrobot got together with Nooka to work on a limited edition collaborative watch. The collaboration utilizes the popular Nooka Zub watch in black with the Zen-H style face along with the Kidrobot head logo printed in white on the watchband.

Retailing for $175, the Kidrobot x Nooka watch will be on sale in late November at all Kidrobot stores, as well as online at www.kidroobot.com.

The Alaric is a cross between a trainer and an oxford with a rubber soul and classic style upper. The Kidrobot x Shöfolk edition is constructed from gray suede and features a cobalt blue sole along with artisanal details like an embossed robot head and multi-color, logoed band on the heel. Like all Kidrobot collaborations, this shoe has been produced in a limited edition run; only 100 pairs, retailing for £120 each will be available for purchase.

The Kidrobot x Shöfolk Alaric will be on sale in late November at all Kidrobot stores, Folk’s London location as well as online.

Kidrobot has once again been working on some interesting projects. In terms of footwear we have already seen Nike and Lacoste collaborations. Here comes now a collaboration with UK brand Shofolk. Shofolk has made a name for itself in recent years with quality footwear, produced out of high end materials and always with an artisanal touch.

Kidrobt worked with them on a couple of shoes. We can give you a first look at the grey colorway, which features a suede upper. The Kidrobot Dunny head is embossed on the back and the font logo appears on the back heel.

Kidrobot’s Pirate Store opens Friday up in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. Until December the store will be available for daily shopping, as well as a series of special events. Be sure to check it out if you are in the Windy City before years end.
