Kidrobot x Lemar & Dauley Tech Hoodies

04 November 2007, 18.29 | Posted in Fashion | No comments »

RTEmagicC kidrobot lemardauley.jpg Kidrobot x Lemar & Dauley Tech Hoodies
The collaboration between Lemar & Dauley and Kidrobot continues. Soon the Tech hoodies will be releasing, coming in two colorways, featuring the Lemar & Dauley cloud artwork, that we have seen on other Kidrobot pieces already.
Composed of 380g 100% cotton French Terry for maximum softness, this zip-up hoodie features Tech Rainbow lined hoods, an interior ipod pocket with a cord loop and buttonhole for your headphones, expanding rib from hem to shoulder seam and heavy-duty zippers. Plus the ribbing around the wrist features a cuff expansion gusset for easy entry!
Many out there criticize Kidrobot for entering the streetwear market, a market that they were not in initially and are not too much into their playful designs. The design is a matter of personal taste, but we can certainly say, that whatever they touched in the clothing game until now, was on point in terms of quality, to a degree where many streetwear companies out there could actually take inspiration from them.

Kidrobot x Spiewak Field Jacket

01 November 2007, 12.52 | Posted in Fashion | No comments »

RTEmagicC kidrobot jacket 1.jpg Kidrobot x Spiewak Field Jacket
Spiewak, the leader in innovative outerwear since 1904, has teamed up with Kidrobot, the leader in the designer toy movement, to create a limited edition field jacket available in select Kidrobot shops worldwide for holiday 2007.

This collaboration combines Kidrobot’s playful irreverence with Spiewak’s fit and design sense to create a jacket that is a must have for collectors and people who crave technical, one-of-a-kind outerwear.  The M-43 Field Jacket is available in either purple or black and is limited to 112 and 288 jackets respectively.  The purple jacket features the classic Kidrobot “robot head” pattern and the black features the “rainbow” pattern throughout the lining of the jacket extending through the placket.  Additional details from the mad laboratories at Kidrobot include reworking the standard issue military pockets to create unique pockets on a slant, adding contrast knit cuffs and embroidered logo, custom Spiewak and Kidrobot labels and hangtags, and an embroidered limited edition number sewn into each jacket.

Spiewak reworked a style they first manufactured in WWII to a slimmer fit and added in new details for the urban landscape.  Four fleece-lined pockets are found on the outside, two of which are double entry. Spiewak has also added a rounded inner pocket featuring an additional hidden stash pocket buried within for music players or other gear.  The other side features pen and marker slots for that creative moment on the street. Borrowing from its uniform division, Spiewak has added a unique drop-in hood that drops down the back of the jacket rather than being rolled up in the collar.  The jacket is constructed of a high-density microfiber shell that is coated with Teflon for water-resistance and lined with Thinsulate for added warmth without bulk.

The Kidrobot x Spiewak jacket is available exclusively through kidrobot.com and Kidrobot retail stores for $250.00.

Kidrobot has once again a flood of new products releasing in October. As usual they will not only release new vinyl figures, also pieces to their Fall 2007 clothing collection will be coming out.
Releases include hoodies and toys with artist Mad, toys taken from the pages of sci-fi headtrip Pure Trance, Keiko the Director and Kaori the Nurse, the Gingerman Dunny. Also interesting is the launch of the “Things That Hurt” set, which is a line of zipper pulls, an accessory nobody has really thought about before. The Holiday Labbit by Frank Kozik and the collaboration series with pixel artist eBoy is also dropping.

Kidrobot x Lacoste Sneakers

RTEmagicC Kid Robot X Lacoste 6.jpg Kidrobot x Lacoste Sneakers
Kidrobot and Lacoste joined forces to create a small collaborative collection of sneakers. The sneakers are limited to 500 pairs and each come with a matching toy, created by eBoy and Kidrobot. Kidrobot added their own flavor to the sneakers and instead of just choosing colors, they added some of their most popular patterns from their clothing line to the shoes. They did thankfully not go crazy and wisely chose only few panels to add their graphics too. This way the sneakers are still wearable, while definitely looking special and different from anything else you have seen. Besides the toys, the shoes also come with custom inner soles and 3M reflective material, something we have not seen so far on Lacoste sneakers. Via Sneaker Freaker.

The sneakers will hit all Kidrobot stores (including the new one coming to Miami this fall) some time in November. Now check out all sneakers in detail, including the toys, after the jump.
