Today we present the second part of the ‘Illegal World’ video interview with graffiti artist Kidult. We cannot think of another artist that attracts as much hate and admiration at the same time at the moment. In this interview he shares his views on the world, on art and you see some nice behind the scenes footage of him working. Check out the interview here below.

Kidult is back and has released two new t-shirts. The ‘YES’ tag on the Louis Vuitton Paris flagship store and the ‘KID’ tag on the Supreme New York flagship store have made it onto the new t-shirts by the artist. Entitled ‘Sperm’ and ‘Who Benefits From The Crime’, the tees are now available from the Kidult’s online store, each limited to 50 pieces.

Graffiti artist Kidult has struck again. This time he has tagged the Paris flagship store of French brand Céline. The move comes as a response it seems, to the Spring 2011 campaign of the brand, which featured models Daria Werbowy and Stella Tennant, shot by Juergen Teller, posing with skateboard decks. As such, Kidult did not tag his usual ‘KID’ tag, but rather went with ‘SK8′.

Kidult continues his spree of luxury vandalism with Louis Vuitton’s Saint-Germain-des-Prés store in Paris, this time opting for a YES tag. (PRINCE85)

A new video documents the most recent hit of infamous graffit artist Kidult as he tags the Kenzo Paris store in a reaction to the brand’s Flower Tag perfume campaign, inspired by the graffiti movement.

Everyone heard about him. Everyone knows about KIDULT and what he did for the first time to some of the most famous shop windows around the globe, from JC/DC, Agnès b, YSL, colette Paris to Supreme in New York City. If not, you must be living in another world… By tagging all over and instantly going everywhere on the web, he has made an image of himself. He has become someone famous for his actions. And he also reminds us what real graffiti is about : protest and express yourself in a creative way, even if for some people its vandalism… But who is KIDULT and what is his plan – only little is known for now. I guess you can’t reveal your real identity. How would you introduce yourself ?

My identity: Kidult aka KID, I was born in Paris and I live in NYC. West 129th Street, New York 10027. I am the enfant terrible (terrible kid) who attacks in a legitimate, simple way, without limits, with a spraypaint extinguisher. “Every child is an artist; the problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” That quote from Pablo Picasso summarizes Kidult’s state of mind well. I try to remain a kid who paints his reality in a raw, carefree way. I aspire to maintain the creativity and honesty of a child in order to expose, simply and efficiently, an unsettling message. That is KIDULT !

Who is hiding behind Kidult ?

A vandal, a tagger, a writer. If graffiti is called “art” one of these days, then I would be an artist too.
