Kris Van Assche is launching his first sunglass collection for Spring/Summer 2012, as reported by Selectism. Consisting of a range of overall 4 silhouettes, each coming in several colors, the line is definitely looking interesting. We like both the shapes and the colors and accents used on the collection, which is for sure different from anything else on the market and rather unique, while still being wearable.

Eastpak and designer Kris Van Assche are going into their second season and present a new line-up of bags for Spring/Summer 2012. The new Eastpak by KRISVANASSCHE Collection consists of backpacks, messenger bags, helmet tote bags and smaller pouches as well, each coming in a series of colors. All in all 11 styles have been designed, coming in various color and material combinations, all reflecting the clean design aesthetic that we know from the designer and creative director of Dior Homme.

Ranging in price from 55 Euros to 255 Euros, the new Easpak by KRISVANASSCHE Spring/Summer 2012 Collection is coming to stores January 2012.

A solid new jacket has released from the Kris Van Assche Fall/Winter 2010 Collection. Made of cotton, wool and cashmere, the jacket comes in several tones of grey, snap button front closure and is made in Belgium. The jacket is now available from ForwardForward.

We get a first look at the Kris van Assche Fall/Winter 2010 Sneaker Collection. The designer mostly presents high tops, aside from one low top, and continues to play with the panels, rather than the materials and colors. The sneakers come in black, white and grey colorways, also featuring some interesting lacing. In terms of materials the designer mostly uses premium leather and suede and all sneakers come in tonal colorways.

Selectism has a look at Dior Homme designer Kris Van Assche’s exhibit at Paris’ Galerie des Galeries. “Picaflor works around the idea of reconstructing “flora” by using visual elements that are complemented by custom scents and sound – all of which borrow from Van Assche’s previous work in fashion and beyond. Mirrored “flowers” and a piece by American artist Matt Saunders, make up most of the exhibit which runs at the Galerie des Galeries in Paris through February 27th.”

Fashion designer Kris Van Assche has found a more interesting way of presenting his Fall/Winter 2009 Collection.

“For Fall Winter 2009, Kris Van Assche commissioned Italian artist Andrea Mastrovito to realise his collection as one man’s journey through a natural and built environment, in black and white pencil drawings on A4 paper. Tethering the sun like a balloon on a kite-string, fighting with serpents in the forest, chased by black bats in the city, and leafing through a newspaper as flowers blow away on pages in the breeze – Kris’s character is a wandering man, toying with nature as it plays with him too.
In the illustrations, Mastrovito depicts the travelling muse wearing long cotton shirts, wrapped coats and a hooded cape, dark blazers, hi-top sneakers and boots from the runway collection. With messy cropped hair, a beard and moustache, he is masculine and somewhat wild – though with a disheveled elegance to his outfits that speaks Kris’s aesthetic with purity and ease. There is even a baseball cap thrown in for good measure.”

Another great sneaker from Belgian designer Kris van Assche’s Fall/Winter 2009 lineup has been released. The high top sneaker comes in a mix of premium white leather and suede with interesting panel details around the ankle and toe box. These shoes, created in partnership with the luxury shoemaker Berluti, are now available at colette.

Today we take an early look at the Kris van Assche Spring/Summer 2010 Footwear. Once again the designer gets creative with his sneakers. Both the high top and low top sneakers in the collection feature an interesting lacing system. In terms of colors they kept it simple, which was a good move. On top of the sneakers, Van Assche also presents some nice suede loafers and lace-ups, along with some interesting high rise technical boots.
