Right for the start of 2011 Medicom Toy from Japan is releasing its first new Star Wars figure. Darth Vader returns in the form of a Kubrick and comes with a removable mask. The toy is a limited edition for Wonder Festival and comes in an edition of 1000.

As we’ve seen in several figures already, Guy-Manuel Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter (a/k/a Daft Punk) have been transformed into Medicom Toys in honor of their contribution to TRON: Legacy. The latest release are Kubrick figures pictured above, which will be available January 28, 2011.

Medicom Toy is getting ready to release their latest Star Wars figures. This time it is the Kubrick Star Wars DX Series 2. The series consists of overall six 100% figures and will be released on August 27th.

If you made it this far, you already know what this is. Just as the title says, you’re looking at some TRON: Legacy Kubrick & Be@rbrick 2-Pack sets. Produced by Medicom Toy the packs are listed as follows: TRON and Sark, TRON: Legacy Sam’s Lightcycle, and TRON: Legacy Clu Lightcycle. Scheduled for an October 2010 release.

With Daft Punk producing the official soundtrack to the movie (check it out here), the team up between Medicom, the electro duo and TRON is of course perfect. They worked on both Bearbricks and Kubrick sets in all sizes, ranging from 100%, 400% to 1000% and even larger sizes.

Next up in the on-going collaboration between Medicom and Star Wars is a 400% Kubrick version of the TC-14. The toy will be released on July 31st.

Medicom jumps on the Iron Man 2 bandwagon and presents their Kubrick Set for the movie. The set consists of overall 6 figures. Unfortunately it will only be released in November 2010.

Medicom gets ready for Alice in Wonderland and presents a dedicated Kubrick & Bearbrick Set. The set consists of figures of Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat. The set will be released some time next year.

Silly Thing curated a set of Medicom Toy 1000% Kubricks in the semblance of legendary electronic artists Daft Punk. Printed with the Daft Punk logo on their backs, each figure is adorned with the corresponding musicians’ iconic stage gear. The lower leg is marked with the Silly Thing logo and comes packaged in a co-branded Silly Thing and Daft Life Ltd. box. But you knew that. Here’s the big news: they’ll be available October 1st, 2009 at Think Silly Store and at Cool Cats. On October 5th you will see a more general release at select retailers including Joyce, Dover Street Market, Surrender, Contemporary Fix and colette. Retails for approximately $1650 USD.

Today we can give you thanks to Busy P a first look at the actual final toys from both the front- and the backsides. Unfortunately the 1000% Daft Punk Kubricks will only become available in October. We can only advice you to start planning now how to get your hands on a set, it will certainly not be easy.
