MinuSkull Speakers by Kuntzel + Deygas

MinuSkull Speakers by Kuntzel + Deygas

Paris design duo Kuntzel + Deygas presents their latest creation – the MinuSkull speakers. Once again they fuse great design with superior engineering and present an overall great product.

“MinuSkull is a design object made for a high-quality sound experience at home or in the office. Its extraordinary Hi-Fi system creates a perfect sound without any distortion, even when the volume is very low. MinuSkull can be connected to any source of sound (Ipod, mp3, computer, …).

Technical components inside the skull. Two broadband Fostex Fe-83 speakers with a membrane made out banana leaf pulp (the eyes). A mini subwoofer for a large and natural restitution. We have chosen a tailor-made speaker (made in France), which lies underneath the skull. A tailor-made Mosfet amplifier that allows a transparent and dynamic quality of listening without using an additional amplifier.

MinuSkull is expandable : this speaker can be used alone or as a duet in order to improve the stereo effect. Using 5 MinuSkulls creates the basis of a Home Cinema Sound System (a subwoofer should be added in this case).”

Handcrafted in France, the MinuSkull speakers come in three different design options – walnut wood and black or white piano lacquer. They have a delivery time of 4-6 weeks, are priced at 1′600 Euros and can be ordered here.

RTEmagicC sayno 1.jpg Say No To Limits by Ni Ling
Chinese sports goods giant Ni-Ling has invited some of your favorite artists to participate in their “Say No To Limits” campaign. With the Olympic games coming up in Beijing in 2008, the brand has already started now celebrating the occasion.
Participating artist are Kuntzel & Deygas, Kaws, Delta, James Jarvis, Mr. André and Hidekichi Shigemoto. Each artist created a track jacket as well as a t-shirt. The exhibition of the pieces just recently took place in Beijing and for the occasion Ni-Ling had invited many more artists from around the world to also include their artwork on t-shirts. The main artists get the trackjacket and many others get to contribute only t-shirts.
All in all a nice project and the releases are certainly something to look out for. On the “Say No To Limits” website there is also a countdown to the Olympic games.
Check out the trackjackets and many more artworks created for this initiative after the jump.
