Pharrell still surprises us and aside from producing music, continues to satisfy his creative inner beast with other interesting projects. The latest one you see here below – he produced the music to the new Lanvin Spring/Summer 2012 Ad Campaign. The imagery and video was produced by Steven Meisel. Lanvin once again surprises with an interesting and unexpected ad campaign this season.

Music: 18 year old Bronx, NY-born artist Maxine Ashley first caught the attention of super-producer Pharrell Williams on YouTube. Immediately impressed with her signature sound, soulful vocals with an edgy pop attitude, he signed her to his record label, i am OTHER entertainment. “Cookieman,” written and produced by Pharrell, is the first single off of Maxine’s upcoming debut album.”

The French luxury brand, Lanvin, offers up their take one of the most popular styles around with these lovely grey suede chukka boots. We’ve seen chukkas from all sorts of different brands offered in various price ranges, but not ones hitting this level. These will set you back $595, but the easy to wear color will hopefully let you get your money’s worth. From its Spring 2012 Collection, Lanvin has released a new style hiking boot. Less extreme than their Holiday 2011 models, the boots come in a waxed leather version and a Kilim suede version. Both feature interesting fabric details around the ankle support and a front zipper, which replaces the laces.

The two boots are now available in the official Lanvin online store.

As part of its Spring/Summer 2012 Collection, Lanvin presents the new Kilim Weave Suede sneakers. Inspired by the Kilim carpets from the Middle East, the brand produced a series of low top sneakers as part of its new line. Two lace-ups and a nice Tennis Slip-On are part of the collection, which is now available at stores.

As part of its upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 Collection, Lanvin presents a series of snakeskin sneakers. Rather than simply covering the entire upper with the exotic skin, they chose to go with an interesting tape design on the upper, resulting in cool visual effect, especially on the more colorful sneakers of the range.

Releasing March 2012, LuisaViaRoma offers them already now for pre-order.

Mr. Porter has produced a nice sneaker feature. High top sneakers from their current catalogue are feature hanging high above the city, with the visual outcome being rather cool. Presented are sneakers by Common Projects, Converse, Bottega Veneta, Lanvin and Balenciaga from the Fall/Winter 2011 Collections.

After the footwear, we take a look at the upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 accessories by Lanvin. Next to some more classic leather goods, we especially like the wooden jewelry pieces in the new collection, some of the mixed material bags and of course the mid size leather goods. As usual Lanvin finds a way to do things differently, both in terms of colors and materials.

We take a first look at the upcoming footwear collection of French fashion brand Lanvin. As usual they present some new sneakers and new colorways/versions of existing silhouettes. While we usually found the sneakers most interesting, we actually prefer the casual footwear range for the coming season. The high rise boots with embroidery and woven details, as well as the lace-up shoes look very interesting and innovative. It looks like Lanvin keeps going strong. Unfortunately you will have to wait for a couple of months, before these pieces hit the shelves around the globe.

Lanvin Calfskin Tubular Boots. What a ridiculous name for these, where boat-mids would suffice. But that’s what Matches calls them (tubular boots) so we’re rolling with it. Dark-grey calfskin uppers, leather laces and a grey outsole. You pay Lanvin money.
