This week Lanvin released their new mid cut hiking boot from the Fall/Winter 2011 Collection. Featuring mat lizard skin and premium suede on the upper, the large elastic strip is certainly the stand-out feature on the rubber soled boot. It is now available in the official Lanvin online store.

Lanvin presented its new Spring/Summer 2012 Collection this week in Paris. We appreciate the more toned down take of Elbaz this season. When in the past one had the feeling of seeing a lot of overstyled futuristic pieces, the new Spring/Summer 2012 Collection just seems overall more easy to wear. In part with military inspiration, the outerwear and footwear, as well as the suiting was most interesting in the collection.

When it comes to luxury sneakers it is usually not the technology or even the silhouette that impresses, but rather the use of materials and overall quality. Lanvin has made a strong move in the luxury sneaker market of the last couple of years and continues to present interesting variations of its styles.

From their Fall/Winter 2011 Collection we present two Chiffon and Wool sneakers – a mid top and a low top. Both the texture and the resulting colors on the upper make them stand out of the crowd.

From the first Lanvin Fall 2011 delivery we present the Mid Top Zip Sneaker. It comes with a mixed embossed calf skin/nylon upper. Grey and brown tones cover most of the upper, with accents set in red and pink. The sneaker is now available from the official Lanvin online store.

An interesting belt will be released from Lanvin next season. The Fall/Winter 2011 they present the above braided rope belt with carabiner closure. As usual a nice combination of the technology and luxury materials by the French brand.

Lanvin is never shy to go that extra step to attract attention, at least not when it comes to their athletic footwear. In their latest release the French brand equipped their standard high top sneaker with a geometric camouflage all-over pattern and studs of varying sizes and shapes. The sneaker is now available from Aloha Rag.

Next to the rather big line-up of hiking boots, Lanvin of course continues to present a rather strong sneaker collection. The sneaker has become a staple item in the French brand’s collection and is probably also one of their best sellers with men.

For Fall/Winter 2011 Lanvin presents their current low top and high top styles in new colorways and materials, and also introduces new silhouettes into the collection. Overall the line seems to be a little more toned down than in previous seasons.

A substantial part of the upcoming Lanvin Fall/Winter 2011 footwear collection is made up of variations of the hiking boot. We have seen almost every brand out there do a take on the hiking boot, as we have seen a steady rise of popularity of the style in recent years. While not going as far as saying that they re-invented anything, Lanvin certainly takes it to the next level and adds both new fabrics, materials and details to the boot, while others usually only concentrate on color, while keeping the silhouette very close to the original. The exotic leather version with flap, seen here above, is our favorite of the bunch.

From their Spring/Summer 2011 Collection Lanvin has released the Weave moccasin. The slip-on shoe with sneaker outer sole comes with a woven black/white upper. A simple shoe with nice details, perfect for the summer. Aloha Rag has the shoes in stock now.
