Incase x Ryan McGinness Capsule Collection

Incase x Ryan McGinness Capsule Collection

Artist Ryan McGinness explores outer space, the inner space of the mind and as McGinness puts it, “uber fanciness” in his current collaboration with Incase. He has applied his iconic drawings to Incase’s signature cases and bags. Available today, the Ryan McGinness capsule collection uses Incase products as a vessel for delivering the New York-based artist’s work, with a range that includes a 15” Protective Sleeve, Snap Case for iPhone 4S and Shoulder Bag. Created specifically for Incase, the original artwork featured is part of a larger body of work entitled Black Holes.

The Black Holes series is inspired by “event horizons,” the celestial light show that accompanies the collapse of light and matter into a black hole. Concentric patterns depict the theoretical physics of the universe while simultaneously creating mindscape portals to provoke a psychedelic response from the viewer.

The Ryan McGinness capsule collection is available now at goincase.com.

A.P.C. x Incase Laptop Sleeve & iPad Case

A.P.C. x Incase Laptop Sleeve & iPad Case

In their most recent collaboration, French brand A.P.C. teamed up with Incase to produce a laptop sleeve and an iPad Case. Based on the 15″ MacBook Pro sleeve and the Hard Book Jackets for the iPad 2, the brand added their own DNA to the pieces, adding raw denim uppers and leather details. While we really like the combination of the light leather and denim fabric, we could have lived without the print details. As in most cases, denim and prints just do not go well together.

Incase for Andy Warhol Collection - A Full Look

After a first preview a while ago, we can present today the full Incase for Andy Warhol Collection.

Incase proudly unveils their collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. This distinctive collection features Warhol’s artwork applied to select cases, sleeves and bags for iPhone, iPad and MacBook. They launch this continuing series with Warhol’s late-era Camouflage and the Banana screen print created in 1966, which also appeared on the cover of The Velvet Underground and Nico’s self-titled debut album. Additional signature Warhol graphics are featured on iPhone cases including his striking 1964 Flowers print, Dollar Signs (1982), a wry commentary on art as a consumer item, and a colorful cow portrait taken from his whimsical 1966 Cow Wallpaper.

On Wednesday, April 6, Incase and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts will host a private event in New York to celebrate the launch of Incase for Andy Warhol. The event will draw from Warhol’s seemingly prescient stance on technology and its effect on popular culture with interactive art installations, as well as showcase the newly released collection. The entire event will be captured on video via iPhone 4 and will be streaming live on goincase.com.

Select Incase for Andy Warhol products are available today at goincase.com with additional products launching soon and available for pre-order. Incase for Andy Warhol will also be available soon through the Apple Store, Apple’s retail stores and select boutiques worldwide.

Detailed images of the full first collection from this collaboration follow after the jump.
