Next up in the Curated by Arkitip Incase product range is a collaboration with C.R. Steyck III.

“As a multimedia artist acknowledged as a major influence within the genres of graffiti and street art, Stecyk’s early work on boards he painted for members of the legendary Z-Boys helped to establish the iconic graphic styles of both surfing and skateboarding.”

The 15″ C.R. Steyck III Sleeve and iPhone 3GS Snap Cases for Curated by Arkitip will be available on August 17.

For Spring 2010 Incase presents their new Coated Canvas Collection. Constructed of heavy-duty cotton canvas finished with a weather resistant coating, each piece in the Coated Canvas Collection provides excellent protection and durability in a refined style. The collection consists of a shoulder bag, a backpack, a messenger bag and two sizes of laptop sleeves. Each piece is available in light grey, military green and in black.

Japanese brand Applebum continues to work with graphically heavy patterns and introduces for Spring/Summer 2010 the “Orange Box” series. The series consists of a jacket, a vest, a short jacket, as well as a laptop sleeve. All pieces feature the all-over “Orange Box” pattern, similar to their sneaker box pattern that we have seen in previous seasons.

Artist and designer Evan Hecox displays his fascination with the urban landscape on Incase products for the sixth installment of Curated by Arkitip. Available today , the Evan Hecox series has been issued in three limited editions: London, New York and Tokyo. As the project’s first artist to present a series of products, Hecox brings to life nontraditional depictions of the famed cities and their associated national emblems on our signature MacBook Sleeve and iPhone Slider Case.

Drawing inspiration from the complexity of the modern metropolis, Hecox’s stylistic approach is based on the process of amplification as it affects form and color: breaking down the image, removing certain elements and emphasizing others. In his original artistry for Curated by Arkitip, Hecox filters the mundane into captivating illustrations of London, New York and Tokyo seemingly filled with narratives beyond the images themselves, and applies them to MacBook Sleeves. The Hecox Slider Cases complement the three Sleeves, bearing instantly recognizable national symbols of the three cities. Hecox re-imagined the symbols through his stylistic approach, resulting in artistic interpretations that are both familiar and new.

Our brothers at Selectism offer a look into a colorful new laptop sleeve label called Alkr. “Alkr operates on a simple premise – the sleeves that protect our technological bits and bobs should be built to the same exacting standards as those bits and bobs. Primarily this means laptops and iPods. There’s also a secondary premise – the pieces that protect our beloved laptops and iPods should be fun, should cheer you up, and should make travel a bit easier. After giving you several previews over the last couple of weeks, the Incase x Huntergatherer product, curated by Arkitip, has been released. Once again the art magazine brought together Incase with an interesting designer to create an iPhone 3G case and a matching laptop sleeve.

BBC/Ice Cream has once again used their waffle pattern, which we have previously seen on sneakers and other product, and have produced some laptop sleeves. The laptop sleeves come in red and grey and are now available.

Those of you that have not yet come across 20ltd, here is a small introduction. 20ltd is a new kind of online store. They release products in batches of 20 pieces, each designed exclusively for 20ltd and each comes in very limited quantities. Overall the products target the luxury  market, but the fun part is, that they come in all categories. So you can actually find a book, earrings, a t-shirt as well as a motorcycle in the product line-up.
In the latest release Maharishi participated. They created some embroidered lap top sleeves. The embroidery is extensive and of very high quality. The laptop sleeves come in an edition of 50 (25 of each colorway) and are available now at 20ltd. Expect soon a shirt and shorts to arrive with the same design, again exclusively on 20ltd.
