Japanese magazine Houyhnhnm has produced a nice photo spread of the new Le Coq Sportif apparel collection for Fall/Winter 2011. Entitled ‘Paint Over With Various Colors’, they highlight strong colors, technical fabrics and just an overall active lifestyle take with their production. The collection features a lot of vintage cycling references, while also taking a modern approach on sportswear that can make it into lifestyle.

French sportswear brand Le Coq Sportif is set to bring back one of their key heritage footwear styles from the archives, in a collaboration with Hanon. The style, once worn by legendary tennis player Arthur Ashe, will be available from January 2011.

“The original shoe, first seen in the 70’s and 80’s, was worn by Arthur Ashe on the courts during his playing days and has inspired the exclusive collaboration with Hanon-shop.com. Le Coq Sportif and Hanon-shop.com have worked closely together to ensure that the original design and the heritage of the brand were respected. The classic shaped shoe has clean lines and features perforated detail for optimal breathability, along with a soft lining for comfort and premium upper for extra resistance. The shoe also features the original Le Coq Sportif ‘practice’ logo on the heel and the Arthur Ashe signature on the side.”

It has been a while since we have seen an interesting new sneaker from French brand Le Coq Sportif. This week the Quartz 87 came out in a couple of strong colorways. The uppers nicely mix suede, leather and mesh with the heel tab coming in shiny plastic.

Solebox now has the Le Coq Sportif available in three colorways.

Sixpack recently got together with French sneaker brand Le Coq Sportif. The sneakers and polo shirts coming out of this collaboration are made to celebrate the new rock album by Adam Kesher.
The sneakers are a re-release of the Dynatec model, which first released in the 80’s, and come limited to only 60 pairs.
