Today the much anticipated UNKNWN store by LeBron James will be opening its doors in Miami. For the occasion, Creative Control got together with Chris Julian from Fruition Las Vegas, who is one of the initiators of the UNKNWN project, to get a little bit more insight. You can also check out some product previews and a first glimpse into the store. Hopefully we can soon show you more.

Had enough basketball news today yet? Here’s a quick reminder that LeBron James’ retail store UNKNWN opens next Friday December 16, 2011 in Miami, Florida. We’ve also got a first look at one of their private label releases, the U Path Logo horizon tee, as seen worn by LeBron in the photo above. The shirt will be available for sale on the UNKNWN website in the coming days, alongside other products – which apparently include some collaborations. We’re interested to see what LeBron and his crew have up their sleeves..

Previously we reported that the UNKNWN concept store by LeBron James will be opening its doors on December 1st. Today we get official word that the store will actually be opening its doors on December 16th, 2011. Furthermore the Grand Opening will unveil special collaborative products, private label offerings and an exclusive appearance by Co-Founder LeBron James.

Also the first step of the UNKNWN website was launched, which reveals the brand list of the new store. In terms of clothing you will find in there A.P.C., Jeremy Scott, 10.Deep, Crooks & Castles, Band of Outsiders, Mark McNairy, Nike NSW, Wings & Horns, Comme des Garcons PLAY, Undefeated, Stussy, Original Fake, BBC/Ice Cream, The Hundreds and many more. The shoe brand line-up includes Common Projects, Nike, Jordan, Clae, Native, Sperry Top-Sider, Vans Vault, Converse and others. And in terms of accessories the store will carry Kidrobot, Ambush, G-Shock, SUPER, Lexdray, Beats by Dre, Just Don It, Karen Walker, Illesteva and more.

The brand line-up looks good – a nice mix of streetwear and high end fashion, just like we expected it. For now there are not too many surprise in here. The collaborations and private label offerings will probably be the most interesting.

With the opening of the physical store inside Aventura Mall in Miami on December 16th, they will also launch their online store. We will keep you posted!

Today news came out that the much anticipated store by LeBron James, called UNKNWN, will be opening its doors to the public on December 1st, 2011, in Aventura, Florida’s high-end Aventura Mall. LeBron is working with a bunch of tastemakers, designers and other people in order to make the store a great experience. Previously we have already reported that the store will be carrying brands such as Original Fake, A.P.C., and of course Nike Tier Zero. Hopefully we can soon tell you more.

Unfortunately, the NBA is stopped for the time being, but that has not deterred Nike from putting out some incredible clips dedicated to the sport. In this video, LeBron is seen training at full speed while the city shuts down. Basketball may be down, but its not out. Can’t wait to see play kick off again. What will you guys be doing while NBA action is out?

In the above video we introduce “Spotlight” from Nike’s “Basketball Never Stops” campaign. “Spotlight” features LeBron James, Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Durant, Amar’e Stoudemire, Sue Bird, Coach K & the Blue Devil mascot, Questlove and J. Cole with a cameo from Ricardo Reyes (Jimmy Kimmel pop-a-shot legend).

The campaign celebrates the true love of the game and desire to play it no matter the time or the place.

We have already presented the Destroyer Jacket and the footwear from the new Nike Sportswear x LeBron James lifestyle capsule collection a couple of weeks ago. Today we revisit the line, which features iconic Nike products, with details that tell LeBron’s story.

Today we bring you a recap of the ‘Protagonist’ exhibition by artist Craig Redman, best known for his Darcel character, at SlamJam Milan. The artist presented a series of portraits in his usual colorful modern graphical style. On show were some prominent faces, including Kanye West, Woody Allen, the Pope, Terry Richardson, Lady Gaga, Takashi Murakami, LeBron James and others.

For Holiday 2011, basketball superstar LeBron James gets the Nike Sportswear treatment. The standout piece is an all-wool Destroyer Jacket, similar to the version LeBron wore last season on his first return to Cleveland following his move south-east. Vivat Rex “Long Live The King” is embroidered on the inside of the jacket, with LeBron’s Nike Sportswear ‘Lion 6’ logo adorned on the sleeve. The message Virescit Vulnere Virtus sits boxed in the bottom translated as “courage becomes greater through the wound.” Additional pieces include the AW77 jacket, a rugby shirt and a tee, all of which debut globally October 1.

Featured in Nike Sportswear’s Holiday 2011 Collection are two LeBron James footwear styles. The black leather Air Force 1 Premium Low QS is the first AF1 low to feature the rugged traction characteristic of a duck boot, with a winterized feel fit for the harsh weather.

The Nike Air Max Conquer QS is a versatile boot made for the winter with a high cut, rugged traction pattern, waterproof overlays and a heel viz 180 Nike Air unit. A new NSW LeBron logo on the tongue top and sockliner finish the boot off and tie directly to a matching range of Nike Sportswear apparel. Both styles debut at select global retailers this November.
