The third in a series of collabs between DC and New York’s Lemar and Dauley: The Lemar and Dauley Xander.

The muse for the Summer 2009 Lemar and Dauley Xander was racquet sports—inspiration was pulled from tennis and the equipments used. The tennis racquet became a source of inspiration, along with both the clay and grass courts that are used as the playing field. Special attention to detail led to the utilization of a mesh material on the side panels and tongue of the Xander as a reflection of the interlocking strings used within the racquet. The houndstooth detail served as an iconic brand logo, much like the branded logos printed on tennis racquet strings, while the clear sole of the shoe reflected the nylon material used to make the cords. In the final details, leather trim was used around the edges as well as under the sole of the shoe to represent the leather taping around the handle of the racquet. The insoles were printed with an abstracted graphic of the playing field itself to provide a complete story.

Both colorways drop May 1st at select DC LIFE retailers worldwide.

Check out the other colorway after the jump.

One does not hear a lot these days from Lemar & Dauley, at least not from their clothing line, but they are all the time in the news with their latest DC collaboration sneaker. Today we give you a first look at their upcoming collaboration on the Xander, a high top sneaker, which comes this season in a pastel blue colorway. They kept it clean, mixing suede and mesh on the upper, which turned out pretty nice. Via Complex.

Expect the DC x Lemar & Dauley Xander to release soon.

DC Admiral x Lemar & Dauley Double Label Project

Lemar & Dauley gets together for the second time with DC Shoes on their Double Label Project series. This time they chose to work on the DC Life Collection Admiral high top sneaker. The pack consists of a black and a white colorway of the sneaker.

Lemar and Dauley took the name of the shoe literally, and used “Admiral” to inspire the use of regatta sailboats in the design. L&D then took that idea a step further and imagined a metropolitan individual (city boy) placed in a beach bum mentality (so, like a poor man’s boat race. Maybe like a remote control boat race in Central Park). Key details to note are the tone on tone writing of Lemar and Dauley across the heels (a nod to the way boat hulls are detailed with names) and the houndstooth lining (an iconic fabric from the Lemar and Dauley line).” Via Soleblvd.

The DC Admiral x Lemar & Dauley Double Label Project will be released on February 1rst.

Update: The white colorway is already available at Ubiq.

Detailed images follow after the jump.
