This September, the Levi’s® brand is partnering with celebrated emerging men’s fashion designer Robert Geller to unveil a limited-edition, high-end collection that unites the denim leader’s DNA with Geller’s strong, sophisticated aesthetic and tailoring. The Robert Geller for Levi’s® assortment will be introduced at select Bloomingdale’s stores and on Bloomingdales.com at the beginning of New York Fashion Week on September 10th. Select pieces will be available at key Levi’s® Store locations across America starting on September 21st and in Japan later this fall.

Ace Hotel has officially partnered with Levi Strauss & Co. for Suite 501, a brand-themed room at its Palm Springs location – intended to feel as comfortable as slipping on your favorite pair of 501s. As you can see in the photo above, the room features “a denim upholstered headboard, Levi’s pillowcases and artwork from Levi’s most recent campaign, shot by Ryan McGinley. The Walt Whitman poem “Go Forth,” the focus of Levi’s recent marketing campaign, is painted on a denim tapestry. The curated ephemera vibe matches the hotel’s rustic chic campground aesthetic; canvas covered walls, salvaged furniture, Native America throws and portable record player in every suite.” Suites run from $399 to $459 per night. We gave you a sneak peek at Robert Geller’s forthcoming Levi’s capsule collection earlier this week. Now, here’s a look at the entire 11-piece collection that binds Geller’s worn-in, old school aesthetic with Levi’s timeless appeal. Vintage styles catch details only the “Best New Menswear Designer in America” could pull off this flawlessly. So refreshingly unclean. Available starting September 10th at select Bloomingdale’s and Levi’s retailers including online at bloomingdales.com.

Designer Robert Geller has created a collaborative collection with Levi’s.

“The 11-piece capsule range will be sold in 12 Bloomingdale’s units, on bloomingdales.com and in seven Levi’s stores in New York, San Francisco, Miami Beach, Beverly Hills and Bucktown, Ill., beginning Sept. 10.

The collection will be celebrated with a party at Bloomingdale’s Manhattan flagship on Sept. 9, and is featured in the September issue of GQ. The project comes after Geller’s win in GQ’s Best New Menswear Designer in America competition in February.

Prices for the collection range from $95 for the 1853 sun-bleached T-shirt to $575 for the hooded parka with blanket lining. The jeans in the collection are $275 and the shirts range from $195 to $265.”

From what we can tell from these first previews of the line, you can definitely look out for something good. Compared to his regular line, prices are of course pretty good.

In 1915 Cone became a Levi Strauss & Co. supplier, a relationship that has lasted through the twentieth century. The 1915 XX501 Jean Cone Mills Collaboration is a celebration of the origins of this long term partnership. By staying true to the original fabric and fit, the rich history of this denim comes back to life.

The denim has been developed especially for Levi’s – a lightweight 11oz denim. The 1915 fit is based on an archive jean called ‘Homer’ (named after the original owner). Also they present the denim in a celebration package with shoulder bag. Further design details of the denim include 2 back pockets with exposed rivets, a cinch, suspender buttons, two horse leather patches and more.

The long standing collaboration between Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons and Levi’s continues for Fall/Winter 2009. The designer applied lots of leather and plaid patches to the denim, infusing the hunting and fishing theme that we have seen through-out the entire collection, into the classic denim. This season they present a 505 and a 503 model, both available now at Deepinside Inc.

Created by Wieden + Kennedy, the new Levi’s campaign “Go Forth” combines heritage and a sliver of sexiness. Like the Wrangler advertisements we’ve previously featured, the “Go Forth” images were shot by Ryan McGinley. The new spots will run across print, digital and television. Junya Watanabe’s latest collection for Comme des Garcons has been delivered. Taking a very interesting hunting and fishing inspired twist to obsolete cloakroom staples. As we have seen in the past, much of this season is dedicated to collaborative pieces. Updating classic Harrington and Gloverall jackets and Levi’s jeans with modern details such as elbow pads, yokes and more – in denim, wool, reversible suede, nylon and leather – Junya Watanabe has produced a series of unrivaled items. The collection also includes several nice t-shirts and button up shirts. Available now at colette.fr.

Japanese label slash retailer Atmos got together with the original American denim brand to tweak the design elements on a pair of straight leg Levi’s 504s. The denim comes with a red “madras check” material on both the front and back pockets, as well as on a dropped back yoke. Other details include an oversized patch, pink and purple stitching and a white button fly. This rigid denim is due out in early December, but will be available for pre-order July 1st at Atmos.

Neighborhood presents with their 15th anniversary Luker by Neighborhood. Shinsuke Takizawa explains that after 15 years it is time to go new ways and introduce new things. So far we cannot tell you much about this new concept and if it involves a pop-up store or if it is an on-going new collection. It seems like Neighborhood worked with Levi’s as part of this project, but that is all we can say for now. More news to come.
