After an initial first look a couple of weeks ago, we finally came across some more detailed images of Lexus’ hybrid racer – the LF-LC Concept. The 2+2 seater certainly came out impressive. Having worked on it for almost 2 years, hopes are high that a version close to this concept will actually see the light of day. Officially the car will be only unveiled on January 9th, 2012, at the Detroit Auto Show.

Ahead of the upcoming Detroit Motor Show, which starts January 9th, 2012, the new cover of Road & Track has revealed the much anticipated exterior of the new Lexus LF-Lc Concept car. Designed by Calty, the company’s design studio in Newport Beach, the concept showcases the new design direction embraced by Lexus.

Wow. The year 2012 is shaping up to look quite astonishing (and we are not referring to this end of the world mumbo jumbo). The automotive blogosphere has began talking more and more about the Lexus LFA 2012 production model and for good reason. This supercar, limited to 500, is a genuine beast with its 4.8L, 552 horse power V-10 engine, but that’s not the only eye-opening number as the car will cost you $375,000. So, in the immortal words of Ferris Bueller: If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up. Your window to do so is closing as the car is only in production for another year.

For Milan Design Week, Lexus came to Italy to present a new artist installation, entitled Lexus L-Finesse “Crystallized Wind”. Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto used room, sound and light to express his vision. We find most impressive the acrylic models of Lexus concept cars, that you see here above. Images via Openers.
