Li-Ning Mix Sneakers
Chinese footwear label Li-Ning has unveiled their most intriguing style yet. The Mix sneaker is composed of three separate parts: a neoprene sock liner, an intricate plastic mesh outer and a midsole unit, creating a sneaker unlike much else on the market. Would we wear them? Probably not. An interesting move nonetheless.

Tim Tsui x Li-Ning 20th Anniversary Sneaker

Toy artist Tim Tsui teamed up with Li-Ning on a sneaker, celebrating the brand’s 20th anniversary. Under the “Make a Change” slogan, Tim Tsui turned their low top 001 silhouette into a high top sneaker and gave the tongue the face of one of his characters. Furthermore the outer sole features the graphics of the artist. More news on the release of the sneaker will follow soon.

Artist and toy designer Tim Tsui celebrated Earthday together with Li-Ning. For the occasion he created a huge wooden version of his Da Minci character. Along with Da Minci, Tim Tsui also created three large scale human characters, dressed in Li-Ning gear. Tim Tsui also created a series of stickers and t-shirts for the “We Love Our Earth” event, which was hosted by Milk Magazine.

The next Olympic Games will be taking place in Beijing. For the occasion artist Kaws teamed up with Chinese sports goods company Li Ning. Li Ning is actually a famous Chinese sportsman, that won many medal himself at Olympic games and after he ended his sports career founded the Li Ning company. Li Ning is in China more popular than Nike and Adidas, also due to endorsement contracts with the likes of Shaquille O’Neal and Damon Jones.
This Kaws collaboration will be dropping some time next year around the Olympic Games. The trackjacket comes in white with the Olympic rings replaced by Kaws’s iconic crosses. We expect more to come out of this collaboration. Via Kidulty.
