Liberty of London today announced their upcoming collaboration with Nike Sportswear for Summer 2011. The store and Nike worked on an entire collection of sneakers. Today we can preview one of the Dunk Hi’s from the collaboration. The full line-up of sneakers will be released April 1st. More news should follow soon.

For Spring 2011 Italian eyewear brand SUPER has teamed up once again with Liberty of London to work on several colorways of their Lucia sunglasses. As part of the collaboration the two came up with overall three colorways, each featuring the signature colorful flower patterns of Liberty. Limited to 75 pieces per colorway, the sunglasses are available exclusively at Liberty and in the Super online store.

Spring 2011 Nike Sportswear once again presents a capsule collection of sneakers in collaboration with Liberty. The Dunk High, the Blazer and the Air Force 1 will be released as part of the line, all featuring the iconic Liberty flower patterns all over the upper. Certainly a refreshing and colorful start into the upcoming Spring.

Following up on their Blank Canvas polo shirts, Liberty also worked with Fred Perry on some low top summer sneakers. The sneakers comes with white and black canvas uppers, suede toe box details and the Liberty flower pattern on the lining and piping.

mastermind Japan has worked on some high end silk scarves, using the iconic Liberty of London flower patterns. The outcome is a set of three scarves, which will release at a special Liberty x Isetan ahop-in-shop taking place at Isetan Shinuku from March 3rd.

Fred Perry has announced its new ʻBlank Canvasʼ range with the iconic Liberty. The collaboration sees two quintessentially British institutions join forces on a collection of classic Fred Perry product.

Launching internationally in April, the range includes four classic Fred Perry pieces styled using two of Liberty’s timeless prints; ʻMarkʼ (paisley) and ʻEdenhamʼ (floral).

Items include four re-worked classic M12 polos, two in Black with Ecru tipping and two in white with Larkspur and Berry Red tipping. The polos have then either been printed all over in each print or have a more subtle Liberty touch with the Edenham or Mark print on the inner collar and placket. A short-sleeved shirt fully printed in both Liberty designs and the Classic Fred Perry Black Harrington Jacket with Mark lining complete the Blank Canvas collection.

Fresh off their collaboration with A.P.C., floral-obsessed Liberty of London is now teaming up with SUPER, bringing their classic prints to the sunglass crowd. The floral frames come in three different prints – the Nina, Elysian and Wiltshire – each of which are handmade in Italy using Zeiss lenses. Flower prints are usually better off left to the ladies, but some dudes are already on it with these ones. Whatever works. Now available at Liberty.

Pointer has created an exclusive footwear collection for Liberty. The three new styles each come in two colorways, featuring premium leathers and have been produced in Portugal.

“Featuring the Benson, a mid-cut classic moccasin wrap-around construction, atop a custom-designed psychedelic rubber sole, the Saha, an update on the classic Derby combining traditional leather uppers with a rubbery sole with contrasting fine leather laces, and the Tanju, a ‘loafer for layabouts’, as classic as they come.”

The aesthetic and silhouettes are certainly premium and also more mature looking than the regular Pointer offering. Look out for a release soon.

UPDATE: We were just informed that this is actually not a range exclusive to Liberty or made for Liberty and just part of the in-line collection. Either way, we like the styles a lot and especially like seeing Pointer take the mature route.

Nike has applied the best of British style to the design of one of its icons, the Nike Dunk, to create a limited edition, transcultural sneaker, which will be released this April at select retail accounts.

Set in a famous Tudor building in the heart of the West End, Nike designers were inspired by the signature fabrics at the Liberty department store during a visit in the summer of 2006.

The Nike Design team selected two classic Liberty prints, Wilshire and Pepper, to create two limited editions of the Nike Dunk. Liberty fabrics are characterized by tender palettes, all over floral prints, and detailed movement, which is the perfect juxtaposition with the clean design lines of the Nike Dunk.

The limited edition sneakers feature a gum rubber midsole and a heavyweight Liberty fabric for the upper which was chosen for its durability. British designers working within Nike’s global design team were consulted during the creation of the shoes to ensure the final look was quintessentially British.
Expect these limited edition Dunk Hi’s to be dropping late this month. After the jump more pictures.
