Founded in 1995 under the premise that skiers needed equipment that could help redefine what the sport was all about, Line Skis boast some of the industries most inspired graphics. Add to that consistent praise from the Ski rags (particularly for the Prophet) and you have yourself a high art product with some pretty high performance. Or a high performance product with some pretty high art, however you wish to view it. 2009 brings new editions of the popular Prophet, and some stellar graphics.

On September 5th 2008 Edwin Europe celebrated the launchof the exclusive Japanese Vintage Line into Europe. The Japanese Vintage line is limited to a 150 pieces per style in each country and is only available at selected Edwin retailers across Europe now.  The Japanese Vintage line represents the pinnacle of denim engineereing, washing, cuts and love for denim and is available for men and women. To celebrate the launchof the Japanese Vintage Line, Edwin Europe invited Japanese Rock Band, The Dirtrucks, to Paris to perform at the exclusive venue, Le Temple, for a selected group of guests, journalists and fans.

The Kidrobot empire is continuing to expand. After breaking the toys market, afterwards the clothing and recently the luggage market, Kidrobot now got together with Tarina Tarantino on a jewelry collection.
"Kidrobot just announced a jewelry collaboration with designer Tarina Tarantino. The goods will debut in Kidrobot and Tarina Tarantino’s Soho stores on July 30 and range from $65 to $975. We couldn’t think of a more fitting designer for Kidrobot to make jewelry with. Tarantino has designed a Barbie doll and Barbie-inspired jewelry and famously gave Hello Kitty pink hair in 2002 (an image she still uses in her jewelry designs), and she’s earned a cult following with her bright, shiny creations. Not to mention she calls her L.A. headquarters "The Sparkle Factory."

Following up Kidrobot’s recent colorful, toy-inspired handbag line, the new collection includes necklaces, bracelets, earrings, charms, rings, and wallet chains that all feature a Kidrobot character, plus Tarantino’s signature Swarovski-crystal embellishments, Lucite beads, pearls, silk ribbons, and cast-metal pendants. We’re eyeing the drop earrings with angry-looking bunnies smoking cigarettes and sticking out their tongues" Via NY Mag.

With their Spring/Summer 2008 collection, Japanese brand Visvim also introduces a new collection, the Folk Line. Continuing their constant strive to make the best product out there, they certainly go the right direction with the Folk Line, which only uses natural leathers. Honeyee sat down with Hiroki Nkamura from Visvim and talked to him about the new line, what the idea behind it is and what we can expect to come from it. Read it here.

Freshjive introduced the first product under its new RMK Signature Series line a while back.  RMK stands for Richard Mendel Klotz. The first drop was only available at Livestock in Canada, these pieces will now also find their way into other stores.
The latest drop by the line consists of t-shirt with photo prints of some inspiring people from the music scene. These are now available at Boundless NY.
