Nike celebrates 15 years of LIVESTRONG, the foundation by Lance Armstrong, that it has helped grow over the years. Here we take a look at one of the latest products to come from the line – the Nike Air Max 2012 LIVESTRONG. A fantastic anthracite upper is paired with hints of the signature yellow color, used on all LIVESTRONG products. The outcome is a modern runner with a futuristic look.

Rooted in performance and function, Nike LIVESTRONG collection has grown tremendously since the iconic yellow LIVESTRONG wristband debuted in 2004, with more than 80 million wristbands distributed and $80 million raised to support LIVESTRONG to date.

Footwear-wise the Nike LIVESTRONG Holiday 2011 Collection includes the Nike Lunarglide+ 3, Nike Trainer 1.3 Mid and Nike Woodside for men alongside the Nike Zoom Vomero+ 6 and Air Max Navigate Leather (and another color of the Nike Lunarglide+ 3) for women. On the apparel side is a full range of performance focused jackets, shirts and pants, which like the footwear, all feature signature LIVESTRONG yellow accents.

Nike’s new Holiday 2011 LIVESTRONG footwear, apparel and accessories will launch beginning October 1, 2011 at Nikestore.com and select retailers worldwide.

Here is the latest from the partnership between Nike Sportswear and the Livestrong foundation – the Blazer Low. The sneaker comes in a nice light grey suede colorway with very subtle yellow details and is now available from the Nike Store.

A special Livestrong make up of the Nike Zoom Bruin has landed at Lance Armstrong’s bike shop Mellow Johnny’s. Featured in solid red, the sneaker blends nylon mesh and suede with Livestrong yellow contrast stitching around the Swoosh. The shoe is grounded with a gum rubber midsole and further Livestrong yellow on the outsole. Now available at Mellow Johnny’s.

After the Dunk Hi, the Blazer Mid Supreme is up next in the Nike Sportswear Livestrong Collection for Fall 2010 and is also a Tier Zero release. The mid top sneaker comes in a butter soft black leather colorway, with matching black leather Swoosh, which has a yellow trim highlight. Furthermore the multicolor stripe accent which was featured on the heel of the Dunk, appears on the lacing of the Blazer. The Livestrong logo tag is placed on the tongue as well.

The Nike Sportswear Blazer Mid Supreme Livestrong will be available at Firmament Berlin from tomorrow, July 24th.

The latest sneaker to join the Livestrong range by Nike, is the Trainer 1.2 Mid. Black, silver and of course the trademark yellow are mixed on the upper, which is made of a series of premium materials, and full of new technology in footwear design. We take another look at the new Nike Livestrong Dunk High Premium Tier Zero, which will be releasing tomorrow at Undefeated La Brea in LA. The high top sneaker comes in a black premium leather version with subtle yellow accents on the upper and a matching yellow outer sole. Furthermore it features a multicolor stripe accent on the heel.

Following the LIVESTRONG x Nike Lunarfly+ and Lunarglide+ Nike continues their LIVESTRONG support with the Nike Free TR. In our opinion, the Free TR is one of the better looking training shoes out. As we’re sure you’re aware, Nike and Lance Armstrong’s Livestrong Foundation brought together an impressive list of artists for Stages 09. After impressive shows in both New York and Paris, the exhibition has arrived at it’s final stop in Miami, for Art Basel 2009. Eddie Cruz and UNDFTD have held a strong position in street culture on the West Coast. Having worked with Nike in the past, the two have fused together their diverse background’s to rework the iconic Air Force 1. This new shoe follows the ‘Artist Series’ collection that was auctioned for charity in July, and uses the LIVESTRONG foundation as a basis for its’ design.

For those who remember, there is a comparable feel to the Nike x UNDFTD Air Force 1, released in 2006. Incorporating the pallet of colors of black and yellow which are so well associated with the LIVESTRONG and the fight against cancer. More notable facet’s of design which can refer to the release of 2006 are the ‘Shemagh’ textile used on the front half of the sneaker as well as the ‘ONYABIKEKID’ slogan, which replaces the ‘ONYAFEETKID’, a theme that strongly refers to the origin of UNDFTD. The shoe combines the numerous references to create a unique background to its design.

The LIVESTRONG UNDFTD Air Force 1 will be available at select Nike Sportswear retailers on Dec. 4th, 2009.

Just yesterday we presented a video interview with Kenny Scharf and Kaws about the Stages exhibition, which will re-open in a couple of days in Miami Beach, in time for Art Basel Miami. To make an even louder impact this time around, Nike has invited some more artists to create works for the exhibition. Stages calls in Los Angeles based Christian and Rob Clayton, aka the Clayton Brothers, the furious paintings from Erik Parker and the black and white portraiture genius of artist Tomoo Gokita for a high energy show full of talent and spirit. All artwork on display as part of Stages will be available for purchase with proceeds directly benefiting Livestrong.

STAGES Miami will be open to the public at O.H.W.O.W. Gallery, from 4th to the 6th of December 2009.
