Berlin based premium brand Living Mutants introduces their first denim. Expectations were set high and the brand certainly meets them. In their first denim release they present two washes with the denim sourced in Japan. As usual Living Mutants also adds their very own twist and upgraded many little details. The front-pockets are angled, the coin pocket is larger and the inside seams are satin finished. The fit of the denim is relaxed.

Living Mutants from Berlin, has released some pieces from their Spring/Summer 2009 Collection. First pieces include t-shrits, shirts and polo shirts. The brand introduces an interesting cut on the shirts and the polos, something that we have not seen anywhere else before. The collection is now available at The Glade.

Living Mutants started off their brand a couple of months ago with a high quality leather down jacket and moved on to a very nice varsity jacket afterwards. For the Fall/Winter2008 season they offer a couple of new pieces, all following the principle of high quality and subtle colors. You find jackets, shirts and sweaters in the line-up with interesting cuts and great functionality.

Living Mutants we introduced to you a little white ago, when they released a leather down jacket. The Berlin based brand is one of the few out of Europe to set the bar high and to present high-end streetwear, with a strive to only work with the best materials and people out there.
That is also no different with their latest pieces – the Living Mutants Force Team Model #1 Varsity Jacket. The premium reversible wool/leather varsity jacket comes in 100% heavyweight premium combed Merino Wool and sleeves made out of premium French matted cow nappa leather. The lining is a 100% cotton with camo screen print and also cuffs and collar come in 100% cotton. You can trust us when we tell you that this kind of quality you can maybe find on a Japanese brand, but nowhere else. The artwork of the jacket has been done by Studioanti & R .Weinberg. The jacket comes nicely wrapped in a suit bag.
It is great seeing Europe stepping it up lately. Brands such as Garbstore and Living Mutants, which are completely different from one another, but both set the standards very high, are finally putting Europe on the map in a proper way.
Expect a full line to come from Living Mutants soon. Until then you should already be excited about these special pieces. The varsity jacket is limited to 100 pieces and is now exclusively available through Am Firmament.

We have officially found our favorite jacket for this winter. Living Mutants is a new label out of Berlin and instead of going the normal path of starting off with t-shirts and hoodies, the brand presents as their first piece a leather down jacket – the Stealth Generation.

The jacket is an update to the infamous 80´s style bomber jackets, remixed as a down puffa with intricate details. Features such as its concealed invisible zipper, embedded goose down filled warmth-circulation cavities, and a removable fur-collar amplify the appearance of the cow nappa leather outer.
The jacket is only a preview of the Ressurection Line that the brand is releasing in 2008 and is exclusively available at Firmament. The price is obviously not very low, but in this case it is definitely justified.
