Lomography Launches the LomoKino

Teased with several trailers and awaited with much anticipation, Lomography announces their first movie camera – the LomoKino.

“capture 144 shots on one roll of 35 mm film – which makes 36 to 48 seconds of LomoMovie. You can use any kind of 35 mm film for different effects: Slide film, colour negative, redscale or B/W. After developing the film, spool it into the specially developed LomoKinoScope and watch your Lomographs moving over and over again. What sounds very simple produces a unique piece of art which can either stay in your hands only or can be given as a special present to somebody who really deserves it. Show your sweetheart how fast your heart is really pounding or capture a flying birthday cake for your grandma who will feel catapulted back in time.”

You can attach any Lomography flash to the camera, furthermore it works with tripods and comes with a viewfinder. The LomoKino has continuous aperture settings from f/5.6 to f/11 – There is no step between each aperture, so you can effortlessly adjust the aperture setting at any time during shooting.

Check out some video footage on the new LomoKino here below.

colette gets together with Lomography to celebrate the International Womens Day with a collaboration on the Diana F+.

“Inspired by colette’s unique style and design, the Diana F+ colette edition was conceived by Lomography. Covered by colette’s trademark blue spots it hosts all features of the renowned Lomography Diana F+. Dating back to the early 1960s, the all-plastic Diana camera is a cult legend – famous for its dreamy, radiant, and lo-fi images.

The colette special edition is exclusively sold at colette, on colette.fr, Lomography.com and Lomography shops worldwide. It consists of the colette Diana F+ camera and the breathtaking book: “Dianalogues Part 1: Through a Woman’s Lens”. A collaborative project between colette and Lomography; this book is entirely created by artist contributions inspired by the theme “through a woman’s lens”. colette finely selected 10 women from all over the world to contribute their images and words to this project: Fafi (Paris), Tommy (Londres), Linlee Allen (Los Angeles), Daphné Bürki (Paris), Claw Money (New York), Feride Uslu (Berlin), Shauna T (Melbourne), Helena Ichbiah (Paris), Sophie Toporkoff (Paris) et Jenny Mannerheim (Paris).

Dorophy Tang For Lomography

19 August 2008, 12.08 | Posted in Art | No comments »

highsnobiety - Dorophy Tang For Lomography
Not long ago we reported about the work of Chinese contemporary artist Dorophy Tang and her work for Adidas. After previously also working with Medicom on a 1000% charity Bearbrick, the artist has now gotten together with Lomography to give the Diana+ her own special look.
"Dorophy Tang is a Chinese designer/illustrator whose work mixes traditional Chinese style influences and vintage elements. She has just worked with camera makers Lomography on their Diana+ model. A very cool film camera, the Diana+ features a plastic lens that produces dreamlike photography with adjustable aperture for shooting wide angle imagery at a very low cost. The intricate designs on the camera are quite similar with the work she did for Adidas, undoubtedly her best known work." Via Wickedhalo.
