James Jarvis Decorates NikeTown London

highsnobiety - James Jarvis Decorates NikeTown London
James Jarvis has created some window displays for NikeTown London, celebrating the Nike windrunner.
"Brightening up this decidedly gloomy summer is illustrator James Jarvis’ new installation at NikeTown in London. A giant bird features in his window display for the Oxford Street store while, inside the foyer, there’s also an eight-panel vinyl artwork with the same avian character donning his Nike Windrunner jacket.
Beanie Brownjohn at Make Stuff sculpted the figure in the window display and free posters relating to the designs may still be available from the store. You’ll have to run like the wind to get one, mind." Via CR.
Many more images of James Jarvis work inside NikeTown London after the jump.

Adidas aZX: I-Store ZX 700

highsnobiety - Adidas aZX: I-Store ZX 700
When we presented you yesterday the letters I to P of the Adidas aZX project, you might have realized that unlike in the first group there were only six shoes, instead of eight, and that in fact two letters were missing in the presentation – the I and the O. Well, those we will present you exclusively here, starting with the I, which stands for the Adidas I-Stores.
Taking the ZX 700 silhouette and reworking the upper slickly, the I-Store version takes the letter ‘I’ and mixes bold colours with muted shades and premium leather applications to give it a completely different look that amplifies the original design’s high points with fresh details like the orange ghilly fastening and ribbed panel on the forefoot. A dose of green makes for a striking look, while the suede tongue detailing and simple but effective split heel panel application, decorated with 6 (London) and 74 (Berlin) to represent the selected adidas store locations completes a memorable makeover.
This shoe will only be available at the Adidas Icon stores in London and Berlin, also called No. 6 and No. 74.
Many more detailed images of the Adidas ZX 700 I-Store after the jump.

Swear For D.I.E. Fall/Winter 2008

selectism - Swear For D.I.E. Fall/Winter 2008
Since 2005 Swear works with D.I.E. (Denim Is Everything) on a collaborative footwear collection. Mainly a Spring Summer collection because of preferred vulcanized lasts and printed textiles, the collaboration is now in its 5th season, the longest S***R has done.
The Fall/Winter 2008 collection brings you both a lo and hi-top in four colorways. Gone are the days of gothic, horror humorous characters for D.I.E. – the range is now tighter but there’s still a reference to D.I.E. heritage with a “flesh stitch” print and a new plaid print that goes nicely with some of this season’s clothing collections. Via Selectism.
After the jump a view of the other models of the Swear For D.I.E. Fall/Winter 2008 footwear line.

Monocle Goes Street | Launched Branded Newsstand

Selectism - Monocle Newsstand in Fitzrovia, London
Monocle Magazine branches forward with a branded newsstand in Fitzrovia, London. "In June, Monocle opened its inaugural branded news outlet in Fitzrovia, London. The new-look Charlotte Street News bears the magazine’s livery inside and out: a signature awning protects browsers from the vagaries of the UK weather, and slick Monocle-black strips divide the shelves of titles within – making for a smarter way to consume printed matter."
Definitely an interesting move by the magazine and yet another step in the direction to bring magazines and newsstands into the next century. If you are familiar with Monocle, you know that they feature in each issue an outstanding magazine stand from around the world. Setting an example might just be the right thing to do!

highsnobiety - Swear x Cassette Playa | Playa 1
Some weeks ago we presented you the first collaborative model between London’s Swear and Cassette Playa. Now the second style, the Playa 1. It comes in black and white patent, as well as a more colorful yellow patent version. The Cassette Playa logo appears on the inner sole.
Much like the Cassette Playa collection itself, these Playa 1 shoes are not for everybody. But we appreciate Cassette Playa pushing the boundaries and doing things different.
This model is still part of the Spring/Summer 2008 collection and is available in the Swear online store.
Have a look at more detailed images after the jump.

highsnobiety - a child of the jargo london store
Today we came across news of a new store in London – A Child Of The Jago. Even though you might not have heard of the store, we are pretty sure you have heard of the people that are running it – Barnzley and Joseph Core of Agent Provocateur.
The name of the store comes from a book with the same title, written by Arthur Morrison and takes place in the London slums in the 1890’s.
It looks like the store carries Cassette Playa as well as some other hard to come across brands and vintage goods. Already the location is well worth visiting! Via Carri Munden .
Check out more images of the store and some clothing that they carry after the jump.
