It looks like Louis Vuitton has finally catching on to the heritage trend. As part of their Spring/Summer 2011 Collection the French luxury brand presents the Yucatan and Yucatan High. The boat shoe styles come in each two matte leather options, featuring tassle details and a contrasting LV stamp logo. Most interesting though, the mat calf leather has been treated with a fine coating of silicon, giving the shoes a soft touch and water repellent properties.

This comes a little unexpected from French luxury brand Louis Vuitton. While most of their sneakers come in simple black, white or brown tones, or plastered in their iconic monogram pattern, the above Acapulco Monogram Stars sneaker certainly sticks out of the crowd.

The canvas mid top sneaker comes with a mixed monogram and stars pattern all over the upper. Interesting is also the patchwork inspired upper design, with panels coming in different colors. The sneaker released this week at Louis Vuitton stores around the globe.

From the new Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2011 Collection we present the Chiapas High Derby. The mid cut boot comes in two suede calf leather versions, and has been partially embossed with the iconic Damier pattern of the brand. On the tongue a natural leather logo tag has been placed. The thin outer sole gives the shoe a more sporty touch.

As a result of this season’s collaboration between Louis Vuitton and artist Scott Campbell we see the Utah Tattoo bag. The black leather holdall comes with a laser etched tattoo design over parts of the bag. Look out for it now at Vuitton stores around the globe.

Louis Vuitton presents their Acapulco sneaker for Spring/Summer 2011 in a new perforated calf leather version. The sneaker comes in both black and white and is now in stock at Vuitton stores around the globe.

In an interesting move Louis Vuitton has released their new 4Motion Performance Eyewear frames this week. While the French luxury brand is known to be active in the field of sport sailing, their product was usually never performance focussed.  The 4Motion line consists of styles for both water and snow sports with the frame adjusting to the wearer.
