The upcoming G-Shock x LRG DW-6900 was first presented at a recent event in New York that we reported about. Here follows now a more detailed look at the watch. It comes in bright yellow and features “Research” written over the strap. The dial comes in white/green, the two signature colors of the brand. Look out for a release soon.

L-R-G collaborated with Oakley on their legendary A Frame goggle, an innovative design that has become the benchmark for fit, comfort, and optical performance on the snow. The L-R-G x Oakley A Frame goggles come in two colorways – purple with Interlocking Trees all-over printed on the frame and Black Iridium lens, and a mirror polished black fram combined with a Gold Iridium lens, featuring an innovative etching technique that adds an L-R-G landscape detail across the entire lower edge of the lens. G-Shock is not standing still these days and keeps us very busy with one new collaboration after the other. Just like with other brands that get the hang of the collaboration game, some of these coops are great and others less. We will let you be the judge of that.

Today we take a first look at upcoming collaborative watches with Redman, Todd Jordan, Mr. Cartoon, Globe and LRG. LRG has worked several times already with the brand. The others worked on special watch make-ups and Globe even produced a special sneaker to go along with their G-Shock watch.

We attended the recent G-Shock event that not only showcased these new collaborations, but also saw Kanye West perform live for the crowd. Definitely a momorable night! Here below a video of one of his performances of the night.

The story of Chico Brenes is truly a rags-to-riches tale. Coming to America as an illegal immigrant from Nicaragua, Chico was literally smuggled across the border into the United States. On the other side he began what would become a fifteen-year career as one of the most respected and well-liked skateboarders of all time.

DVS and LRG recently partnered up on a collaboration project that pays tribute to his story. The first installment of the project features a red-flannel Munition Mid shoe, a flannel button-up, a new era, and a t-shirt. The shoe comes with insole art featuring the Orange Vendor graphic used on Chico’s first World Industries Pro model designed by artist Mark McKee in 1992.

This month two new G-Shock collabortions will be released. G-Shock worked once again with Dave’s Quality Meat and with LRG. DQM and LRG both worked on the iconic DW-6900 model by G-Shock.

“The DQM Edition (DW-6900DQM-7JR) will feature a bi-color casing of beige watch face and black brace.  With an DQM engraved back plate, special packaging, and a DQM hologram EL (Electroluminescent) back light.  The LRG Edition (DW-6900LRG-2AJR) will have a uniform aquamarine colorway imprinted with skateboarding giraffes from its Spring 2009 design theme “Feed The Animals”.  Back plate is engraved with LRG ‘s logo while a holographic EL (Electroluminescent) back light will also feature a LRG “tree logo”. Presented here a couple of weeks ago, the LRG 10th anniversary G-Shock Frogman has finally been released. No matter what you might think of LRG these days, the brand deserves congratulations for being 10 years in business and having opened this market to a much larger audience.

The said, the G-Shock Frogman came out really nice. It’s all white and feature a few orange accents, as well as LRG branding printed on the top and engraved on the back. Limited to only 1000 pieces worldwide, the watch comes nicely packaged and is now available here.

To celebrate their 10th anniversary, LRG once again gets together with G-Shock. This time they worked on their flagship model, the Frogman. Coming in all white, the watch features orange branding and comes in nice custom packaging. Via Kanyeuniversecity.

Here something a bit more particular, and certainly not for everyone, but we appreciate the boldness that LRG is putting on the table and to some degree we actually acknowledge the craftsmanship involved in this piece of clothing. We present you the “2 Minutes To Midnight” jacket.

Weighing in at a whopping 35 pounds and a matching $2000 price tag, the LRG jacket features lots of cut & sew details, a satin interior lining, ribbed cuffs, full-leather accents, and shining gold studs (lots of those).

To promote their new Exclusif Cognac, Courvoisier is going out this spring to present on a US tour an exclusive clothing line designed by LRG. Furthermore they customized some limited edition gadgets, including the Blackberry, iPhone and iPod. Via Notcot.
