Today we present the new Spring 2012 Collection Lookbook. Produced with nice architectural backgrounds, the lookbook showcases a well curated selection of the brand’s new collection.

“Spring 2012 is a season of new adventures and discoveries. Here at Lifted Research Group, we live by the words ‘explore more’; to highlight our daily pursuit of exploration, we take you to a setting known as the “Hangover House”, a historic structure known for being way ahead of its time. Built in 1938 by William Alexander, the concrete and steel home was commissioned by explorer-writer Richard Halliburton and designed to be an inspirational reminder to think outside. At L-R-G, we remind ourselves daily that creative genius is unknown to those who don’t explore beyond their surroundings. So whether you’re in the physical world or on a mental plane, we invite you to ‘explore more’, and we thank you for the supporting the ones who support you.”

The new line is now available in the official LRG online store.

LRG gets together with Casey Veggies to produce a New Era 9Fifty snapback cap for Holiday 2011. The cap comes in a nice forest green/orange colorway, which is always a good combo. This hat will only be available on the Blue Slide Park tour or at www.caseyveggies.com.

Jonas Bevacqua, co-founder and creative director of LRG, was found dead in Los Angeles today. Though we don’t often cover LRG here at Highsnobiety, we have nothing but respect for what Jonas and his team achieved with the brand and the strong influence they hold to this day. A true visionary, Jonas Bevacqua was 34 years old. Rest in peace.

DVS partnered up with LRG on another collaboration project in honor of mutual rider, Chico Brenes. This time around DVS worked with The Anthem model and LRG laced it up with green logo hits and accents to coincide with the art direction of their first ever full length skateboard video, Give Me My Money Chico – which premieres this Thursday, April 1st at The El Rey Theatre in Santa Monica, California. The shoe also comes packaged with a DVD copy of Give Me My Money Chico in the box.

We take a look at the upcoming Spring 2010 Collection by LRG. The brand went through tremendous growth these past years, yet one had the feeling that the hype was fading. For Spring 2010 they took once again a more classic approach to the collection, put less emphasis on prints and more on cuts and quality, resulting in an overall more mature collection, compared to previous seasons. The photoshoot includes the skate team riders Rob Gonzalez, Karl Watson and Kelly Hart and also up and coming artist Mike Posner, who all got together at a beautiful scenery at Yosemite.

The upcoming G-Shock x LRG DW-6900 was first presented at a recent event in New York that we reported about. Here follows now a more detailed look at the watch. It comes in bright yellow and features “Research” written over the strap. The dial comes in white/green, the two signature colors of the brand. Look out for a release soon.
