The MADE team also stopped by the Jonathan Mannion exhibition in Miami last week.
Jonathan Mannion, NYC based photographer, director, designer and artist, who has photographed some of the biggest names in the hip hop world such as The Notorious B.I.G., Outkast and Jay-Z, came down to Miami during Art Basel and exhibited a selection of some of his classic photographs from through out his career. During the opening night of the three day exhibition at AE District in Miami, which also featured a live performance by up and coming rapper ASAP Rocky and a DJ set by Clark Kent, Jonathan showed them around his exhibition and talked to them about his craft.
Thankfully they caught it all on video for you to check out as well.

The Made team continues to make their way through the Art Basel Miami madness and yesterday visited the much anticipated ‘It Ain’t Fair’ group exhibition, hosted every year by the OHWOW crew. This year Materialism is the subject of the exhibition.
“The 2011 installment of this annual group show, now in its fourth year, takes on a thematic focus: materialism. The exhibition features work by over twenty artists, including: Daniel Arsham, Justin Beal, Anna Betbeze, Ashley Bickerton, Scott Campbell, Peter Coffin, Dan Colen, N. Dash, Sam Falls, Michael Genovese, Luis Gispert, Angel Otero, José Parlá, Sara Rahbar, Ryan Reggiani, Bert Rodriguez, Amanda Ross-Ho, Aurel Schmidt, David Benjamin Sherry, Lucien Smith, Agathe Snow, Jessica Stockholder, Nick van Woert, and Aaron Young, including a special, live performance by New York-based artist Michael David Quattlebaum, Jr., during the opening reception.”
The video gives a nice review of the show and also includes interviews with some of the artists shown. The exhibition runs until this coming Sunday, so make sure to pass by.

Some of you might remember the ‘Scratch ‘N’ Cut – All Remix Everything’ exhibition at the MADE space in Berlin, that we announced last week.
The exhibition is celebrating the art of the interdisciplinary “remix”. It brings together a group of internationally renowned artists from different disciplines and combines interactive video animation, live-music, sculpture and graphic art, creating a unique and dynamic audio-visual spatial installation.
Curated by Lukas Feireiss, works on display have been created by Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Eclectic Method, Daniel Gonzalez and Jonas Liverod. The evening will also be hosted by Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry.
For the exhibition a series of remixed slogans were developed and these are now also available on t-shirts. ‘Tyra Banksy’, ‘Lil WeiWei’, ‘Beastie Beuys’, ‘Muhammad Dali’ and others are now all in stock at Soto Berlin.
