CLOT continues to work with Japanese artist Madsaki on their Alienegra design pieces. For Spring 2012 they have also brought Brooklyn artist Kaws into the mix and he added his signature cross eye ‘X’ design to the existing design by Madsaki, resulting in a very vibrant overall look. The parka hoodie will be released on February 10th, 2012, at Juice stores.

The CLOT x Disney ‘Man in the Forest’ Travelling Mickey exhibition recently had its first stop in Shanghai. CLOT asked a series of artists and designers to present custom versions of the iconic cartoon character. The line-up of participating artists includes Dr. Romanelli, Madsaki, Andre, Cassette Playa, Mr. Cartoon, Eric So, Mr. Azuma, CLOT themselves and other outstanding artists.

Who knew you needed 4 different entities to produce a hoodie? Well, CLOT gets together with Madsaki to present a new version of their Alienegra Parka, and this time also invited Kazuki and Kaws to add their own details to it.

“Bridging together three of the world’s foremost creators, the latest installment of the Aliengera series comes via a grey edition parka. Decked out in a full-print motif, the jacket features the original Alienegra thorn pattern created by world-renowned artist Madsaki. Complimenting his efforts is the scheme application by well-known designer Kazuki Kuraishi, a continued collaborator with the CLOT brand. Furthermore, KAWS brings his own unique spin to the project with a reflective “X” cross treatment, seen throughout the piece. A camouflage mask completes the look along with leather detailing on the pockets and elbow patches, all culminating in collaborative wizardry!”

The parka jacket will be released at Juice stores on March 18th.

Another interesting yet not much talked about t-shirt collaboration by Stussy has surfaced. Together with Japanese artist Madsaki they present a series of three t-shirts, each featuring the iconic signature graphics of Madsaki. Haven (storeguide) has them in stock now.

While we find most of the product to come from the CLOT x Disney collaboration a little too simple, we like the added Madsaki Alienegra camouflage on Mr. Donald Duck. Look out for this tee to release soon.

For their on-going retail project with Disney, Man Is In The Forest, CLOT gets together with Japanese artist Madsaki to remix the iconic Mickey Mouse character for their latest t-shirts. The outcome are two t-shirts, both featuring Mickey, dressed in the iconic Madsaki graphics.

There are not many people left for Stussy to still collaborate with this year. The brand has been presenting collaborations every week of the year, at least that is the impression one gets. The latest one we present you today. They worked with Japanese artist Madsaki on a t-shirt. The tee features the trademark graphics of the artist on the front and his signature on the sleeve. It is now available from colette.

Japanese artist Madsaki keeps us busy these days. Just this week we presented his collaboration with Effector on some glasses. Here is now a first look at a sculpture that the artist produced in collaboration with Tokyo Cultuart and Japanese sculptor Kondo, aka Cosmo Liquid. The end result brings to life the drawings of the artist. The sculpture comes packaged in a nice wooden box. A release date has not been announced yet.

After Nigo, Japanese artist Madsaki has joined forces with eyewear brand Effector. They present two frames as part of the collaboration, entitled “fuzz – Killer Whale”. The frames feature custom Madsaki design on the arms. The glasses were made in  commemoration of the artist’s latest exhibition, “Man Is In The Can”.

We take a first look at the latest project by Japanese artist Madsaki. Soon his new “Man Is In The Can” IKASDAM exhibition will open its doors. For the show the artist worked on new pieces, incorporating Disney’s most famous character Mickey Mouse and mixing it with signature art works of his. The exhibition opens its doors on October 15th at Public Image 3D.
