“THE STREET ISSUE” of WAD Magazine gave carte blanche to several international contributors to share their own take on the streets.
First stop: Berlin. Thanks to the HIGHSNOBIETY crew, a website and a magazine revered by urbanwear maniacs. Then WAD visited the Hong Kong streets, with the SILLY THING team, a polyvalent creative agency. Then the French magazine landed in New York, the wild playground of DEE & RICKY, multitasking twin designers, compulsive customizers, and nightclub figures. WAD didn’t forget Paris, so the city’s fashion and cultures are at the heart of this 49th issue.

Focussing on global activism, the new June 2011 issue of British fashion magazine Dazed & Confused, is certainly special and somewhat unexpected. Next to highlighting once again the detainment of artist Ai WeiWei by the Chinese government, they also touch other important subjects, including resistant fighters in Burma, Tunesia with artist JR and young activists in the Middle East. Definitely an issue that you want to pick up.

For the new Man About Town Issue 8 Spring/Summer 2011, Hedi Slimane shot model Agyness Deyn. The black and white shoot is in a sense masculine, yet very sexy and that is exactly what we like about it. The look is 100% Hedi Slimane and very similar to what we are used to see from the fashion designer turned photographer.
