Nike once again gets together with Maharam and presents for Holiday 2011 a Blazer Mid AB Tier Zero Pack. The two high top sneakers feature thick corduroy uppers in dark brown and dark navy and are sitting on white outer soles with white rubber toe caps. The tonal side zippers make the entry into the sneaker easier. Both sneakers are now in stock at Sneakersnstuff.

For 2011, Nike continues their relationship with New York-based textile firm Maharam. The classic Dunk High Premium and Zoom Tennis Classic classic silhouettes are presented with luxurious fabrication, including undyed natural linen, woven horsehair and premium leather overlays. Worthy summer footwear.

Nike Sportswear and textile firm Maharam came together on a collection of ACG Air Mocs reinterpreted in washed canvas weaves. We’ve seen the Red Plum before, the the Faded Taupe and Black are all new. Now available at Kix-Files.

The Nike ACG Air Moc is seen here in jacquard uppers from highly-regarded textile house Maharam. The uniquely textured woven fabric is applied to the classic 90’s outdoor silo in a choice of Red Plum or Spice. The Smoke colored full length Air midsole completes the design. Releasing in August 2010 at select Nike Sportswear retailers.

Yet once again Nike Sportswear is joining forces with Maharam. For Fall 2010 the two present both apparel and footwear. Here we present you the Dunk Hi Pack that resulted from the collaboration next season. Overall the pack consists of 5 sneakers, all featuring mixed material uppers. The colorways are solid and easy to wear.

As we mentioned previously, Nike Sportswear and New York based Maharam came together on their second special collection, this time featuring two of Nike’s iconic shoes – the Nike Blazer and the Nike Oregon Waffle reinterpreted in horsehair textiles by Maharam.

To create the look of the footwear, Maharam used vintage looms and techniques to produce classic weaves – a basket, check and striae, by turns textured, tonal and variegated. Intentionally devoid of pattern, the simplicity of weave reveals material opulence. Calfskin accents and waxed cotton laces heighten the effect. A restrained palette of black brings the interplay of matte and sheen surfaces to the fore.

The Nike x Maharam Collection will be available December 19 at top tier Nike accounts worldwide.

T Magazine has a first look at Nike’s latest project with textile supplier Maharam. The collection emphasizes “the relationship between the way a sneaker looks and how it feels.”

“With these $250 sneaks, Michael Maharam shot for what he calls “restrained opulence,” choosing a luxurious but underused fabric, horsehair. Nike calls horsehair “a renewable resource” because it’s clipped painlessly from the horse’s tail, but Maharam concedes that horsehair is not a practical replacement for everyday fabrics. “It grows slowly, is woven on arcane Victorian-era looms at a tedious pace, and costs a fortune,” he says.

The Nike x Maharam collection features three classic weaves — basket, check, and striae — on two of Nike’s easily recognizable (grace à swoosh) sneaker silhouettes, the high-top Blazer and the low-top Oregon Waffle.”

Now available at select Nike Sportswear retailers, including 21 Mercer in NYC.

Once again Nike has worked on a collaborative pack with Maharam. This time they chose the Terminator Hi. It comes in two colorways – beige/brown and black/purple. The heel of the sneakers feature Maharam signature fabric. The other detail that jumps right in the eye are the laces of the sneakers and the thick leather tongue tags. Look out for a release soon.

Nike worked with legendary textile design company Maharam once again on a Blazer Low for Spring 2010. The premium chocolate brown leather upper, with tan leather accents and off white sole makes for an interesting color palette. A Maharam pattern hit on the heel adds a fresh dose of color.

Just this morning we presented the new Nike 1World Air Force 1 Feride Uslu and here comes now another interesting Air Force 1, in collaboration with Maharam.

“The limited edition shoe was created to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Nike’s Air Force sneaker and incorporates Hella Jongerius’ Layers, an embroidered textile designed by Jongerius for Maharam, the special edition Air Force sports shoe will be officially launched at an invitation only event at Moss on April 1st.” Via Limitedhype.
