City Magazine will soon again be holding their annual travel photo contest. At the same occasion a special collaboration collection by Globetrotter and maharhishi will be auctioned off, with proceeds going to the Conservation International charity.

“Adorned with military colors and symbols, the sleek and sturdy pieces are sure to survive any journey (and perhaps you as well).” Via Refinery29.

There is no word whether or not the collection will ever go on sale, outside of the auction.

Today we give you a first look at the Maharishi Fall/Winter 2008 collection. Once again the UK brand shows their expertise in craftsmanship in this collection, presenting a lot of great coats and pullovers. The details are stunning, as usual of course the embroideries most impressive.

It seems a bit early, but for some reason MHI will be releasing a couple of Spring/Summer 2009 items in Japan in the near future. Most interesting we found the Viet Slip-On. 

Coming in two canvas colorways, the shoe is already special for being a mid top slip-on, something one only sees rarely. Also the closing mechanism is something new to us. The choice of materials and colors is very balanced, making the Viet Slip-On a model to be looking out for.

Dedue will get them in on the 24th of September.

Medicom has done interesting product with their Fabrick collection in the past, but we cannot remember something as useful as a nicely designed camera strap. It’s one of those things that nobody really considers, but in the end of the day, why not have a nice looking one. 
In this case they present two sizes of a camera strap designed by London’s Maharishi. They added some of their tiger stripe camouflage to it.
It will be released on the 22nd of July.

Here we have an interesting Sandal that Pozu made for Maharishi. The interesting part about the sandal is, that pieces are not sewed together, but are only folded. The look of the sandal stays very raw, we like how the upper pieces is large and covers most of the foot.

MHI has released their Spring/Summer 2008 collection in their online store. The London brand presents a good set of graphics t-shirts, cut & sew, as well as nice New Era caps and accessories. Have a look for yourself!

Maharishi launched their Spring/Summer 2008 collection. When the MHI collection can be considered more classic streetwear, Maharishi presents a more high end collection with lots of attention to detail, high quality embroideries and just an overall more refined look.
The new collection has lots of nice pieces, especially the ones with the hand made details. Camouflage seems to make up a smaller part of the collection than usual and we certainly welcome that, since the pattern has been used so much and by so many, even though its certainly a Maharishi classic.

The much anticipated Maharishi x Dr. Romanelli x Lupe Fiasco Jar Tour Jacket that we reported about a few weeks ago is now finally available.

Maharishi and Dr Romanelli have come together to create two jackets to celebrate the release of Lupe’s heavily anticipated sophomore album ‘The Cool’.

These two reversible vietnam era style tour jackets are made from Jar quilted Silk Satin, and feature hand worked embroideries based on imagery inspired by characters created by Lupe for ‘The Cool’.
